About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Kitty, a qualified integrative counsellor offering online therapy across the UK.
My counselling space is shaped by nature, inviting presence, working together to create the right conditions to support growth as we go through life's cycles and seasons. You are welcome to arrive as yourself, however you are feeling. We can be gently curious together, my approach is collaborative and flexible. Like plants need different conditions to grow, people need different things at different times, and therapy should reflect that.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected from yourself, depressed, grieving, struggling with relationships, or simply needing space to pause and reflect. Whatever brings you to counselling, you are welcome as you are.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on the individual and what feels most supportive for them. I don’t believe ‘one size fits all’ because each person’s experiences, needs and way of understanding themselves is unique. My style is calm, compassionate and curious. I value building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can reflect on your experience without judgement or pressure and we can find ways together to support you.
I won’t tell you what to do or who to be. I will support you in exploring what feels meaningful, helpful and authentic for you and finding your individual path. I believe that feeling heard, understood and accepted can support meaningful reflection, self-awareness, understanding and change.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities and experiences. I aim to work in a way that is respectful, inclusive and mindful of how our identities, backgrounds and life experiences can shape the way each person experiences the world.
One way of working isn't the right fit for all. If shorter sessions, breaks, or other adjustments would help counselling feel more accessible or supportive for you, we can explore what's best for you.
Practice description
I provide online counselling sessions via secure video platform Google Meet. This means I can reach you wherever you are in the UK if you have good quality internet connection and a tablet or computer/laptop. You can attend your sessions in the comfort of the environment you choose, perhaps with your pet nearby, in comfortable clothes and with a cup of tea if you wish.
I often help clients with:
Anxiety, worry and overwhelm
Depression or low mood
Bereavement
Grief and Loss
Identity
Relationship difficulties (with a friend, colleague, family member, partner)
Low self-esteem
Stress or burnout
Feeling lost or stuck
On the 'Services' page of my website, I explain further how I can help with these areas.
In our work together, we may explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships, values, behaviours and life experiences. My aim is to support you to lift the fog and find a clearer picture. I hope to help you find your own way forward by processing your emotions, making sense of your experiences, developing coping strategies, or reconnecting with who you are and what matters to you.

My first session
It can be very difficult to know which type of therapist or who you want to work with when you decide that you want support. The connection and relationship you build with your therapist is an important foundation for creating a safe space where you are able to be yourself. For this reason, I offer a free 20 minute consultation where we can explore:
-What has brought you here
-What you might be looking for in terms of support
-How I work and how we might work together
-If working together feels like the right fit
-Any questions you may have
There is no obligation for you to start the counselling process with me following this. If you go on to work with a different therapist, I will be happy to have supported your journey in some way.
If you do decide to work with me, the first (50 minute) session often includes:
-Exploring generally what has brought you to counselling, your story, or what you are you finding difficult
-Supporting you to reflect on your thoughts and feelings about your current situation
-Exploring what you hope to gain from therapy
-Sometimes discussing if you have had any previous experiences of therapy. This can help me understand what has helped or not helped before.
Before the first full 50 minute session, I will send you some information on what counselling is and working online. I will also send a 'Therapeutic Agreement' which is an agreement on how we work together. This includes confidentiality and cancellation policies. Importantly, it also asks for details from you, such as name and address, which I will store securely.
Collecting information from you also helps me to understand any particular needs you may have and how I can adapt my practice to best support you, for example if you live with a health condition, disability or are neurodivergent.
During the first session we can discuss the agreement, address any concerns or uncertainties you may have.
