About me and my therapy practice

Feeling stuck? Feeling lost? Hoping to really be heard? I provide a safe and caring space to explore and understand yourself without judgement. I am a person-centred counsellor providing both short and long term therapy to adult individuals in Milton Keynes and Online.

Whether you are new to therapy or returning after a break, it can be difficult to reach out and find a person you feel comfortable and safe to speak too. This is especially hard when we want to explore honestly about how we think, feel and what we believe.

I help you to connect and explore, person-to-person with openness and curiosity. I give you real responses, real empathy and real interactions that don’t feel false, robotic or clinical. I’m here to really listen and help navigate feelings, thoughts, behaviour, beliefs and your processes without judgements or expectations on how things "should" be.

Practice description

I can help with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, neurodiversity, menopause, chronic health issues, loss, LGBTQIA+, self-esteem, and more. I am a trauma-informed therapist with a background volunteering for rape crisis, and have worked with survivors of sexual violence, abuse, rape and childhood sexual abuse.

Think of accessing therapy like starting out lost in a forest with no compass, map or clear path. My role as a therapist isn’t to tell you where to go or what to do, but to walk alongside you and point out what I can see. I will help you explore and understand what landmarks are visible, where you’ve come from, and where you could walk. I'll help you build self-acceptance and self-compassion, and allow you the space to really understand how you feel about the forest around you and the paths ahead. It’s up to you to map the journey you’d like to take, once the weeds are cleared away. I will walk alongside you, so aren’t alone.

I work with the person-centred modality and I have a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and regularly undertake CPD to improve and inform my practice.

  1. My sessions are 50 minutes. I can provide face-to-face sessions in Milton Keynes or Telephone or Online video sessions.

My first session

I provide a free 30-minute telephone or video consultation session so you can decide if you would like to work with me. In this session we can assess your needs, answer any questions and ensure I am suitable to provide you with the right service. We will then book in for our first session if you wish to go ahead.

Before our first session I will send you a copy of my contract, my privacy policy and an assessment questionnaire.

During our first session, I will go into detail on how therapy works, what you can expect from me and really give you the space to tell me what you are looking for and answer any questions you may have.

You will have the space to talk about what you want to bring to therapy and what is truly important to you, even if the answer is "I don't know!", there is no right or wrong.

My sessions are priced as below:

Face-to-Face Session (Central Milton Keynes) - £50.00

Online Session (UK Only) - £40.00

I do offer a concessionary rate for individuals on UC/PIP, Counselling Students or NHS/Blue Light Badge holders. Please enquire if you wish for a concessionary rate as these may not be available due to demand.
