About me and my therapy practice
I believe that human beings are naturally wired to grow and flourish but at times, life presents challenges that can feel overwhelming or difficult to navigate alone. My therapeutic services include; Individual adult counselling, couples/relationship counselling and children/young people's counselling. I provide a space to pause, reflect and begin to make sense of your experiences creating the conditions from which change and healing can occur.
I offer a collaborative, trauma-informed approach rooted in humanistic values and shaped by the power of narrative. I believe that we are all doing our best, often carrying stories the world may never hear and that sometimes, what we need most is simply a space to breathe, to feel, to be heard and seen without judgment.
This is that space.
Practice description
Each chapter of your life matters, whether it’s past experiences that still impact you today or the chapter you find yourself in right now. Together, we can gently explore what has brought you here, and begin to consider how you might shape the chapters still to come.
I work with the understanding that we do not exist in isolation. We are all shaped by the systems we belong to families, relationships, communities, cultures and histories. Gaining insight into these dynamics can be deeply healing and transformative, helping you to move forward with greater clarity and intention.
With curiosity and care, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, always guided by your unique needs and experiences. I may offer tools and strategies when they feel appropriate, but my work is always centred on you; your voice, your pace, and your autonomy.
What you share here is held in complete confidence, with warmth, respect, and compassion. This is your space to speak freely, explore what feels stuck, and begin the process of meaningful change.
My humility as a therapist is born from the understanding of experiencing what it means to be human; the light, the dark and everything in between. My personal life story, with all its trials and tribulations has led me to sit in the client's chair and have a real world understanding of how that can feel. As part of the framework for ethical practice therapists in training must also access their own therapy as a vital piece of the training. It is in fact my stories of personal transformation that sit at the bedrock of my commitment to you. The 'knowing' that therapy really does make a difference.
You don’t have to do this alone.

What to Expect
Stepping into counselling can feel like a big decision, so I aim to make the experience as gentle, human, and grounded as possible. When you come to work with me, you’re not stepping into a clinical space where you’re analysed or judged, you’re entering a warm, relaxed environment where you set the pace.
My approach is person‑centred at its core. That means your needs, your rhythms, and your way of being are central to everything we do. There’s no pressure to perform, no expectation to share more than feels right, and no “right way” to be in the room. We go at the speed your system can genuinely tolerate, not the speed it thinks it “should.”
Some people come wanting to explore specific experiences. Others come with a sense that something isn’t quite right but don’t yet have the words. Both are welcome. You don’t need to know where to begin; we can find our footing together.
My role is to offer a safe, steady presence — someone who walks alongside you while you reconnect with your own clarity, strength, and inner wisdom. You bring your lived experience. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to honouring your autonomy. Together, we create a space where real change can unfold naturally, without force.
If you’re unsure, nervous, or simply curious, that’s completely okay. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
