About me and my therapy practice
I’m an integrative therapist, passionate about the healing power of human connection, offering a therapeutic space where you can be heard without judgement. I work with people from all backgrounds, each bringing their own story and challenges.
I believe that in the right conditions and with the necessary support people can draw on their own internal resources and capacity for growth. The therapeutic relationship offers a consistent compassionate space in which you can explore your experiences safely.
My approach blends humanistic and psychodynamic ideas. We’ll look at how you experience life day to day, the environment around you, and if helpful, we can explore the impact of past relationships or events. The aim of our time together is to enhance self-awareness and understanding about yourself, your relationships, emotional responses, thought processes and behaviours. You will develop a deeper understanding of the factors impacting your experience and over time, a more meaningful, grounded way of being with yourself and others and greater sense of control in your life.
In addition, the relationship we build together can itself be healing - a safe space where new ways of relating and understanding yourself can gently take shape.
Practice description
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy), guided by their ethical framework, with trust, respect and confidentiality at the forefront of my practice. I participate in regular supervision, professional development and stay up to date with the latest research to ensure I offer the highest quality of care. My qualifications are below:
I have experience working both short and long term, dependent on each client's needs, with both CYP and adults - although currently only working with over 18's in my private practice. I have worked with a wide variety of mental health concerns and life issues.
- CPCAB Level 2 Counselling Skills
- CBCAP Level 3 Counselling Studies
- FDSC: Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling
- BSc (Hons) Degree in Counselling
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertake additional training to support my work.
