About me and my therapy practice
You may have found your way here because something in your life feels difficult right now. Perhaps you appear to be managing on the outside, while inside you feel stuck, overwhelmed, and at a point where you recognise something needs to change.
Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I’m a BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor, working online via Zoom and telephone, across the UK. I offer a warm, supportive space where we can explore what’s been difficult for you, at a pace that feels right.
You might be facing health worries, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, family pressures, work stress, grief, or simply the weight of day-to-day life.
I wholeheartedly understand how difficult life can feel, as I’ve had to navigate my own personal, mental and physical health issues. It’s what drew me to become a Counsellor myself.
I also know with the right level of support and care, it’s possible to meet life’s challenges in new ways, to gently heal from past hurts, and to begin to feel more like you again: lighter, more at ease, and more connected to who you truly are.
MY BACKGROUND
Having worked in the Arts for 20 years, in Fashion, Film and TV, I have a special interest in working with creative people. I understand the unique pressures the industry brings, that only those who have experienced it can truly understand. While it can appear glamorous and exciting to the consumer, those working behind the scenes often face pressures, few outsiders see. Whether you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, bullying, or low self-worth, I’m here to listen and support you.
I also have a personal interest in helping people struggling with health anxiety, chronic pain and other life-limiting symptoms, including those affected by cancer.
Practice description
MY APPROACH
My approach is integrative, which means that I tailor how I work to suit your individual needs. Drawing on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT modalities, with creativity and holistic practices woven throughout. I offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where we can work collaboratively to meet your goals and needs. I also recognise the deep connection between the mind and body, and how stress, fear and unresolved past traumas can affect both the physical body and in turn mental wellbeing.
MY PRACTICE
In addition to my private practice, I work as a Counsellor for the agency Wellbeing in the Arts, supporting those who work in the creative industries with their mental health and wellbeing. I also have experience, volunteering at the Mulberry Centre, a leading London Cancer charity connected to West Middlesex Hospital, counselling patients, carers and the bereaved, whose lives have been adversely affected by cancer, dementia and other life-limiting illnesses.
I have also undertaken many mindbody medicine trainings addressing how trauma, stress and unresolved past hurts can be stored in the body and manifest as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, tinnitus, IBS and other “invisible” conditions. And how through understanding and processing, there can be freedom from chronic suffering.
MY QUALIFICATIONS:
Level 4 Diploma (CPCAB) Therapeutic Counselling
Level 3 Certificate (CPCAB) in Counselling Studies
Level 2 Certificate (CPCAB) in Counselling Skills
Further Training:
Level 5 Diploma (CPCAB) Psychotherapeutic Counselling (due for completion June 2026)
