About me and my therapy practice
As an Integrative Psychotherapist (MBACP) specialising in supporting young adults, adolescents, children and families, I take into account each individuals upbringing, culture, faith, and life experiences, all of which shape who we are and how we navigate the world.
My therapy service, Lina Roots, was created from a deep commitment to creating a space where people of all ages, adults, children, adolescents, young adults and families - can feel truly received, heard with care, and supported on their mental health journey as they begin to move forward with greater clarity and self-understanding. I approach therapy holistically, recognising the connection between mind, body, and soul, and holding a strong passion for support that is nurturing, reflective, and restorative.
Practice description
I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on a range of models to suit your unique needs and experiences. Taking a holistic perspective, I consider all aspects of your life when offering support. My work may incorporate person-centred, cognitive-behavioural (CBT), behavioural, psychodynamic, child-centred play therapy, and, where appropriate, Islamic psychology. Each area of concern I support is approached with a developmentally-appropriate stance. Depending on the age group of clienteles, I cater my therapeutic approach accordingly to fit the authenticity of the client.
Young adulthood (18-30 years) is a time of self‑discovery, but trauma and challenges can sometimes lead to disconnection with ones self or self‑sabotage. Through a compassionate, integrative approach, I support clients in making sense of their experiences, building resilience, and developing healthier coping strategies. For children (4-10 years) and adolescents (11-18 years), therapy creates a nurturing environment to process trauma, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
Early support can make a lasting difference, helping young people grow in confidence, regulate emotions, and lay strong foundations for future wellbeing. With the right therapeutic relationship, anyone can experience healing, strengthen self‑esteem, and build healthier connections, ultimately feeling empowered to thrive.

If my approach sounds like it aligns with you or your family, I welcome you to reach out for an initial consultation where we can explore whether support with me is the right fit for you.
My first session
I encourage an initial consultation before thinking about therapy, to give us both a chance to discuss the support you're seeking further, and to allow you the chance to reflect on whether being supported by me is the right fit for you or your family. This may include questions, what's brought you here, and how things work in the therapy space.
This initial consultation is always free, and is usually around brief 15-minute phone call.
