About me and my therapy practice
Hello, and thank you for visiting my page.
Taking the first step towards therapy is not always easy. You may be facing a particular difficulty, feeling stuck or simply recognising that something in your life no longer feels right.
The ways we think, feel and behave are not personal failings. They are often shaped by our experiences and ways of coping, Understanding these patterns can help us make different choices rather than continuing to feel controlled by them.
My style is warm, thoughtful and engaged. I will listen carefully and without judgement, but I will also ask questions and, where helpful, gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We will work collaboratively, at a pace that feels manageable, to understand what is happening and what you would like to change.
I work with individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties, sexual concerns, low self-esteem, grief and bereavement and questions such as “Who am I?”. You may want to understand yourself more deeply, work through something from your past, address a current difficulty or improve the way you relate to yourself and others. Some people find that a small number of sessions gives them what they need, while others benefit from longer-term exploration. We can decide together what feels most useful for you.
- I have experience working in both the NHS and private practice. My qualifications include:
- First-class BSc (Hons) in Psychology
- MSc in Psychology
- Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
- Postgraduate Certificate in Psychodynamic Couples Therapy
- Currently working on a Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy

My first session
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin exploring what has brought you to therapy. I will ask some questions about what is happening now, any relevant background and what you hope might change, but there is no pressure to tell me everything at once.
If you are attending as a couple, I will make space for both of you to describe your experience. Rather than deciding who is right or wrong, we will begin looking at the patterns that develop between you and what each of you would like from therapy.
I will explain how I work, answer any questions and discuss confidentiality and practical arrangements. Most importantly, the first session allows you to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me. If we decide to continue, we will agree together what you would like us to focus on.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thank you for visiting my page.
Taking the step to come to therapy is not easy and how we behave is not a ‘fault’ but a result of many factors, often outside of our awareness. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space to explore what you want from therapy and how we can achieve that together. This can take the form of behaviour change, exploration, or simply a safe space to talk. I’ll support you in whichever way you want to go. No issue is too small and it is better to seek support before you reach crisis point. Sometimes a reassuring chat is all you need so I’m happy for you to come for as few or as many sessions as you want.
I have experience working in the NHS and private sector.
I hold a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology
MSc in Psychology
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
PGC in Psychodynamic Couples’ Therapy
Currently working towards an Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual & Relationship Therapy.
I have a background and interest in the way unconscious processes and patterns of behaviour affect our daily life which can lead to relationship problems. I also work with sadness, low self esteem, grief and bereavement, motivation, anger management, work related issues and family dynamics.
Whatever you are feeling, we can find a way to understand it, giving you more autonomy over your life that can lead to personal growth and better relations.
