About me and my therapy practice

I work from a person-centred pluralistic approach, which means I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together. I believe that healing and growth develop through a relationship where you feel seen, understood and accepted without judgement. You are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we explore what you are experiencing and what you may need in order to move forward.

My approach is gentle, collaborative and attuned. I take time to understand your unique perspective, your pace and the meaning you make of your experiences. I hold a strong belief in each person's inner resources, even when they feel out of reach. By creating a safe, warm and grounded space, we can begin to notice what you need, what feels supportive and how you can reconnect with your authentic self.

As a pluralistic therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic ideas when helpful but always in dialogue with you. This might include mindfulness, mindful self-compassion, grounding skills, or exploring patterns in your emotional world. We work together in a way that honours your preferences - and if you're unsure what you need we can explore that gently and collaboratively.

My practice is inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming. As someone who is neurodiverse, I understand how navigating the world can sometimes feel overwhelming or mismatched. In our work, there is no pressure to mark, perform or fit into a particular way of being. All parts of you are welcome.

Above all, I aim to offer a relationship where you can feel safe enough to explore, reflect and begin to care for yourself with greater compassion and understanding.

Practice description

In my practice I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever feels difficult or confusing. People often come to me experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-worth, overwhelm or a sense of disconnection from themselves. Together we work to understand what you are carrying, how it may have developed and what might support you in moving toward greater ease and self-connection.

Sessions are led by your needs and your pace. You may want to talk through experiences, explore emotions, learn grounding techniques or simply have a consistent space to be heard. Some clients come with a clear sense of what they want from therapy; others feel unsure or overwhelmed. Both are absolutely welcome - discovering what you need can become part of our work together.

My way of working is relational and human. I show up authentically, with compassion and curiosity, and I aim to create an atmosphere where you feel safe to share at your own pace. I draw on person-centred principles as well as pluralistic ideas, incorporating mindfulness, mindful self-compassion and elements that support emotional regulation and self-understanding.

I work inclusively and hold a neurodiversity-affirming perspective. I understand how it feels when the world does not always accommodate you, and strive to make therapy a place where you do not need to hide or minimise your experience.

I offer both in-person counselling in Wimbledon & Clapham, and online counselling via secure video conference.

My first session

Before our first session, I invite clients to a free 20 minute phone call to see if I am the right counsellor for you.

The first session itself is a gentle, informal consulation where we explore what has brought you to counselling and what you are hoping for. I take time to understand your situation, and current concerns and whether there are any risks or safeguarding considerations we should be aware of together. This is done at your pace and with sensitivity.

There is no pressure to have everything figured out. Many people come unsure of what they need or where to begin - that is absolutely okay. The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me, my approach and whether the space feels right for you.

From the very first session, and throughout our work together, the process is shaped around your individual needs, preferences and pace. These can be discussed at any time and may naturally shift as therapy unfolds; I see this as an ongoing , fluid conversation rather than a fixed expectation.

I charge the same fee for the first session as for ongoing sessions, and you are welcome to ask any question before we begin.
