About me and my therapy practice

I’m an integrative counsellor offering a warm, non-judgemental, and compassionate space where you can be heard and understood. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, allowing you to explore your experiences at your own pace.

While traditional talk therapy helps us to understand and make sense of our thoughts, somatic awareness allows us to notice how the body holds onto stress or past experiences. By integrating these methods, I help you to process and release patterns that may feel stuck in both the mind and the body.

My work is shaped by my experience of living in London for over 20 years and navigating different cultural backgrounds. I have a deep understanding of the complexities of identity and the experience of living between different cultures.

I provide a practice that is deeply respectful of faith, traditional values, and spirituality. I believe that our beliefs and heritage are a vital part of our identity, and they are a welcomed and understood part of the healing process in my practice.

Practice description

I provide a calm, confidential, and compassionate space - both online and in person - where you can safely explore what’s troubling you, without fear of judgement or pressure to be anyone other than yourself.

My practice name, Noor, means “light” - a reflection of my belief that healing often begins with understanding, gentle curiosity, and a willingness to look inward.

In our sessions, my aim is to create a grounding and collaborative environment where you can begin to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we work towards greater self-awareness, self-trust, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself and others.

I work with adults dealing with many different issues, including:

- Anxiety, stress, and trauma

- Childhood experiences that still affect you today

- Relationship challenges and life transitions

- Feeling 'stuck' or losing your confidence

I see clients in-person in Wimbledon (3 minutes from the station) and Kingston, as well as online. I feel honoured to help my clients find more clarity and peace.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and see how it feels for us to work together. It is a space for gentle curiosity, where we can begin to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve.

We will have a conversation about your current situation, your background, and any support you have had in the past. There is never any pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with; we move entirely at your pace.

This session also gives you a practical sense of how I work. You are very welcome to bring any questions or hesitations you might have - it is important to me that our work feels like a true collaboration from the very start.

Practical Details:

- Duration: 50 minutes.

- Rate: My first session is offered at the same rate as regular sessions.

- Next Steps: If you decide you would like to continue after our first meeting, we will agree on a regular weekly time that works for you.

Free Consultation: If you would prefer to have a brief chat before booking your first full session, I am happy to offer a free 15-minute phone call. This is a helpful way to answer any initial questions and see if we are a good fit for one another.
