About me and my therapy practice
I’m Ayesha (she/her), a fully qualified, integrative psychotherapist offering culturally aware therapy.
I’ve worked with several low-cost counselling services and charities, supporting adults from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of emotional and relational challenges.
I support people with concerns including anxiety and depression, childhood trauma, difficulties around sex and intimacy, cultural and cross-cultural experiences, questions of identity and self-worth, neurodiversity and self-discovery, spirituality and belonging, the emotional impact of illness and chronic conditions, and the effects of past abuse or relational trauma.
I also have particular experience supporting women of the Global Majority navigating grief, systemic oppression, and intergenerational wounds.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and integrative. This means I draw on different therapeutic perspectives depending on what feels most helpful for you, working at your pace and centring your lived experience. I aim to offer a space that feels culturally sensitive, grounded, and attuned — where all parts of you are welcome.
Together, we can explore what matters most to you, helping you reconnect with your voice, your rhythm, and your sense of possibility.
Practice description
Integrative psychotherapy is a flexible, evidence-informed approach that draws on different therapeutic models, tailored to your individual needs.
My work is grounded in psychodynamic and Jungian perspectives, with additional training in trauma and grief. Together, we explore past and present experiences, unconscious patterns, and the deeper emotional meanings shaping your life.
At the heart of therapy is relationship. I offer a compassionate, grounded, and collaborative space where you can reflect openly and deepen your self-understanding.
This approach is especially helpful if you’re seeking both depth and gentleness — insight into longstanding patterns alongside practical ways to support yourself day to day.
Our work may also include exploring memories, dreams, and everyday experiences, as well as gentle grounding exercises or breathwork where helpful.
I trained at the University of East London (PGDip Counselling & Psychotherapy) and hold an MA from the Royal College of Art. My background in art and culture informs my interest in language, symbols, and storytelling, and how these help us make sense of ourselves and the world.
My first session
I provide sessions online and in person (Bethnal Green, East London), and offer a free 15-minute consultation by phone or video call to explore whether we feel like a good fit.
If you choose to move forward, our initial session will give us the opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, think about the approach that might suit you best, and get a feel for what it’s like to work together — either online or in person.
Initial sessions last one hour and are £80.
I offer both short-term therapy and longer-term exploratory work, depending on what feels most helpful for you.

Abuse, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
