I am currently available Monday through Wednesday, 10am - 2pm. I take North Tyneside school holidays off as well, apart from teacher training days.
About me and my therapy practice
I work with children between the ages of 5 and 18, providing play and talking therapy for a wide range of problems and issues. I work to a 10-week model, where after Week 5, we review and plan to either continue to meet or begin to plan an ending. This review is done either with or without parents/carers, at the client's request.
Practice description
I practice in a client-centred way, meaning all my interventions, questions and approaches are made deliberately and ethically, with the client's needs at the forefront. I prefer play therapy, and I often will find a way to incorporate playfulness into the session, where appropriate. I demonstrate unconditional positive regard and a non-judgemental approach from the beginning, so most clients have found it very easy to open up to me quickly.
