About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to my page. I offer a genuinely compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely.

I am passionate about supporting people to feel empowered and to understand their emotions, concerns, beliefs and behaviours, especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. I recognise that you bring your own unique understanding of your life and experiences, and together we can work at your own pace to make sense of these, deepen self-understanding and support your emotional wellbeing.

My practice is grounded in the person-centred approach and informed by relational, experiential and trauma-informed perspectives. I value the therapeutic relationship as a space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted, enabling you to explore your experiences in a way that feels right for you.

My additional training in experiential psychodynamic approaches and Transactional Analysis (TA101) informs my developing understanding of relationships, emotional experiences and patterns of relating.

My experience includes supporting people through a wide range of difficulties, including sexual abuse, rape, domestic violence, bereavement and loss (including sudden or traumatic loss and bereavement by suicide), complex grief, alcohol and substance addiction, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-harm, relationship challenges and suicidal thoughts.

Practice description

I offer flexible ways of working, depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible for you. Sessions are available online, in a private counselling room in Haywards Heath, through walk-and-talk therapy, or via home visits where appropriate and agreed.

Counselling offers a space to explore difficult feelings, make sense of past experiences and consider how these may continue to affect the present. Our work together will be guided by your needs, your experiences and what feels meaningful to you. There is no expectation to have everything worked out before you begin.

I will work alongside you with empathy, warmth and respect, supporting you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences at a pace that feels manageable for you. My aim is to offer a safe, collaborative space where you can explore what matters to you and discover your own way forward.

Together, towards a brighter tomorrow.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I am committed to offering ethical practice.

My first session

I offer a 20-minute taster session for £12, which is an opportunity for us to meet and see if we are a good fit. Connection is a vital part of therapy, and this session allows you to experience the space, ask any questions, and discuss what you hope to gain from counselling.

In your first full 50-minute session, we will spend time getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to counselling, and considering the ways we might work together. There will also be space to begin to explore what you might hope for from counselling, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My aim is to create a safe, compassionate, and confidential space where you feel heard and supported from the very start.
