Availability

I currently have space for new clients and offer face-to-face, online, or telephone sessions. My main practice hours are Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm, with a limited number of evening and weekend sessions for those who need them.

I usually offer weekly sessions at a consistent time, which helps provide stability and continuity in the work. I also understand that life can be unpredictable, and I do my best to be flexible where possible.

If I am on annual leave or temporarily unavailable, I will let you know in advance and, where appropriate, can suggest alternative support options.

If you’re unsure whether my hours suit you, you’re very welcome to get in touch and we can find a time that works best.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Jennie, an integrative counsellor based in Frodsham, Cheshire. I offer face-to-face counselling in a dedicated garden room separate from the rest of my home, as well as online and telephone sessions across the UK. I am a qualified and insured counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), working within established ethical frameworks. I provide a warm, thoughtful space where you can speak openly about whatever is on your mind.

People often come to counselling when they feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, or when they want to understand themselves more clearly and find new ways of responding to life’s challenges. You may be experiencing stress, relationship difficulties, low mood, or the lingering effects of past experiences. Some people simply want a safe, reflective space to think things through.

My approach is integrative, drawing on Person-Centred, CBT, and Psychodynamic ideas. I adapt my approach to your individual needs, offering a calm and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

Alongside private practice, I have experience working with the mental health charity Mind, supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds.

I offer a non-judgemental, compassionate space where you can reconnect with your own inner resources and develop practical strategies and insights that feel authentic to you.

If you’re considering counselling, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I would be glad to help you explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels safe, supportive, and uniquely tailored to you.

Practice description

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including (but not limited to):

• Anxiety, worry, and tension

• Low mood or depression

• Stress, overwhelm, and burnout

• Self-esteem, confidence, and identity questions

• Relationship and family difficulties

• Life transitions and change

• Loss, grief, and bereavement

• Trauma and challenging past experiences

• Feeling stuck, emotionally disconnected, or unsure of next steps

• Parenting pressures and family dynamics

You don’t need a clear label or diagnosis to begin therapy. We will take time together to understand what is happening for you, what matters most to you, and what you would like to change or make sense of.

My approach is collaborative and flexible, adapting to your needs. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, while building understanding, insight, and practical strategies that feel authentic to you.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute consultation by phone or online. This is a relaxed opportunity for me to understand the support you’re looking for, hear what’s on your mind, and answer any questions you may have. If you’re unsure what to say, that’s completely fine; I will guide the conversation so you feel at ease.

If you feel ready to proceed, we can agree on an approach tailored to your needs, preferences, and goals.
