About me and my therapy practice

Have you lost touch with who you are, or find yourself repeating the same patterns no matter how hard you try? Maybe something has shifted in your life and you're questioning everything. Or maybe things feel wrong, even if you can't explain why. You feel ready to slow down, look at your life more closely, and explore whether there might be another way of living it.

I work with people navigating shame, childhood trauma and the exhausting impact of feeling like they need to be someone else to be acceptable. Much of the work involves moving from self-blame to understanding - exploring what happened and discovering who you actually are.

As someone who understands these issues from the inside, I work extensively with LGBTQ+ clients exploring identity, shame and self-acceptance. I also work with neurodivergent adults (ADHD and autistic spectrum) who are untangling which parts of themselves are authentic and which have been survival strategies.

How I work:

I'm an integrative psychotherapist, which means I work in a way that fits you. I'll follow your pace and what matters most to you, while also helping you understand how your past experiences might be shaping what's happening now.

I work with the whole of your experience - including images, dreams and sensations. Sometimes the most important things are hard to put into words directly, and working with what your mind is already showing you can open up new understanding.

Clients tell me I help them see things differently, providing insight as well as depth and a grounding presence when things feel overwhelming.

If any of this resonates, take that first step and reach out. Let's see how we can work together.

My background:

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling (Level 7) from the University of Westminster and am a registered BACP member. Alongside my therapeutic work, I bring 20 years of experience in music and arts education, and I am actively involved in LGBTQ+ community projects and charity work.

Practice description

I am available online or in-person, with the pace guided by your individual needs.

The sessions are a warm, inclusive space for navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, loss or life transitions. Many clients come feeling uncertain, stuck or overwhelmed, and find a supportive environment to pause, reflect and explore what matters most.

You can expect to be heard and valued. Sessions may involve talking, reflective exercises or creative approaches such as drawing or visualisation, depending on what feels right. The aim is to help you make sense of challenges, sit with difficult feelings and gradually move toward clarity, balance and a renewed sense of self.

My first session

In our first session, the focus is simply to get to know you. I offer a gentle, welcoming space where you can share what’s brought you to counselling. We’ll explore what you’re hoping for from therapy and what you feel you need right now, without any pressure or expectation. I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and together we’ll get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit for you. Practice description

I offer sessions online or in person, and we will move at a pace that feels appropriate for your individual needs.

These sessions provide a space for working through challenges such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, loss or major life changes. Many people come feeling uncertain, stuck or overwhelmed, and appreciate having a reliable environment where they can pause, reflect, and consider what is most important.

You can expect to be listened to and treated with care. Our work may involve conversation, practical reflection or simple creative exercises such as drawing or guided visualisation if they are helpful and comfortable for you. My aim is to support you in understanding your experiences, managing difficult emotions, and gradually moving toward greater clarity, balance, and a stronger sense of yourself.

My first session

In our first session, the main aim is simply to get to know you. I provide a calm setting where you can talk about what has led you to seek counselling. We will discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and what you feel you need at this time, without any pressure or expectations. I will explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and together we can decide whether this approach feels right for you. From the very beginning, my goal is to create a safe and trustworthy environment where you feel heard, understood and supported as you begin your counselling process.
