About me and my therapy practice

I'm an integrative psychotherapist working with adults who feel stuck in old patterns, weighed down by shame, or unsure of who they are beneath the ways they've learned to cope. Together we slow things down and make sense of what's really happening, so you can move from self-blame towards understanding and a way of living that feels more your own.

Maybe you've lost touch with who you are, or keep repeating the same patterns no matter how hard you try. Perhaps something has shifted and you're questioning everything, or things simply feel wrong even when you can't explain why. If you feel ready to look at your life more closely and explore another way of living it, that's where we can begin.

Much of my work is with people navigating shame, childhood trauma and the exhausting sense that they need to be someone else to be acceptable. As someone who understands this from the inside, I work extensively with LGBTQ+ clients exploring identity, shame and self-acceptance. I also work with neurodivergent adults (ADHD and autistic spectrum) untangling which parts of themselves are authentic and which began as survival strategies.

How I work:

Being integrative means I work in a way that fits you, following your pace and what matters most while helping you understand how your past might be shaping the present. I work with the whole of your experience, including images, dreams and sensations, because the most important things are often hard to put into words. Clients tell me I help them see things differently, offering insight and depth alongside a grounding presence when things feel overwhelming.

If any of this resonates, take that first step and reach out.

My background:

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling (Level 7) from the University of Westminster and am a registered BACP member. Alongside my therapeutic work I bring twenty years in music and arts education, and I'm actively involved in LGBTQ+ community projects and charity work.

Practice description

I offer sessions online or in person, and we will move at a pace that feels appropriate for your individual needs.

These sessions provide a space for working through challenges such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, loss or major life changes. Many people come feeling uncertain, stuck or overwhelmed, and appreciate having a reliable environment where they can pause, reflect, and consider what is most important.

You can expect to be listened to and treated with care. Our work may involve conversation, practical reflection or simple creative exercises such as drawing or guided visualisation if they are helpful and comfortable for you. My aim is to support you in understanding your experiences, managing difficult emotions, and gradually moving toward greater clarity, balance, and a stronger sense of yourself.

My first session

In our first session, the main aim is simply to get to know you. I provide a calm setting where you can talk about what has led you to seek counselling. We will discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and what you feel you need at this time, without any pressure or expectations. I will explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and together we can decide whether this approach feels right for you. From the very beginning, my goal is to create a safe and trustworthy environment where you feel heard, understood and supported as you begin your counselling process.
