About me and my therapy practice
Are you queer, trans, non-binary, or questioning your identity in some way? Is shame and anxiety getting in the way of the life you want? Perhaps you're looking to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences? Whatever it is that brings you here, you are welcome.
I’m Katie. LGBTQIA+, non-monogamous, anti-oppressive, sex-positive and kink-aware work is the centre of my practice, so our work is built around your lived experience and shaped as a collaboration between us.
Practice description
I’m a relational integrative psychotherapist, drawing on psychodynamic and person-centered approaches. Together we can make space to explore who you are, how you love, what you desire and where you feel you belong, in a space that celebrates your identity.
We’ll notice what’s happening between us, in the room, in real time, because that’s often where the real shifts happen. We’ll explore how your history has shaped where you are now and how it shows up in your life today.
Some things are hard to say in words, so if you’d like, we can also draw on creative approaches to reach what talking alone can’t.
I’m an MBACP registered integrative psychotherapist, trained on a GSRD-accredited course (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity). Before becoming a therapist I spent twenty years as a theatre director and went on to co-found Queer Spaces an organisation dedicated to wellbeing within Queer communities.
If you’re not part of these communities but want a relational, anti-oppressive space, you’re welcome too.
My first session
Get in touch and we’ll arrange a free 15 minute online consultation to talk about what you’d like to bring and whether we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out.
Get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
