About me and my therapy practice

I'm a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with over 25 years experience in mental health and recovery. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly about what's going on for you and discover ways of moving forward. Whether its navigating life changes, coping with grief or loss, addressing long-standing difficulties, or reflecting on relationships, I will help you explore your feelings and discover new ways of moving forward with confidence

Some of the areas I specialise in are Anxiety & Depression, Relationship Counselling, Men’s Issues, Workplace Burnout and Young People with ASD and ADHD.

You can choose between in person, video, or over the phone sessions - I will create a warm and trusting space where you can slow down and begin to unpack your thoughts and feelings. Coming to counselling can be quite daunting. I understand that, and I want to make you feel at ease.

I help my clients with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Relationship Issues
  • Alcohol Concerns
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Work Related Issues
  • Anxiety, depression and low self-esteem
  • Fatigue, lack of motivation and loss of meaning
  • Life transitions and change
  • Mental Health problems

I have a Masters Degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Integrative Person-Centred Counselling, and over 25 years' experience in mental heath and rehabilitation.

I also work with couples seeking to improve their relationships, and with children with ADHD and ASD in school settings and at home.

For me, it's really important that people are able to feel safe, secure, and to know that therapy is a place where there will be no judgement - just help, support and understanding, exploring issues and discovering ways of moving ahead. I also believe therapy should be a collaboration, and that laughter and good honest human connection are as important as exploring harder issues and emotions.

If your not sure, just send me a message and I will get back to you.

Practice description

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can slow down, explore what’s happening, and begin to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, looking at possible solutions and ways ahead. Together, we’ll work at your pace to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone.

I offer sessions without a 'tie-in', so I offer one session at a time, and you can cancel whenever you want. I believe this gives you control and autonomy, and allows you to access to therapy without needing to commit to long and expensive sessions.

My Background

I've worked with people for many years as a mental health specialist and an integrative therapist. I have worked as a therapist in the NHS. I have also worked at Brighton Housing Trust, Macmillan, Southdown Housing Association, My Life Counselling, UK Addiction Centres, A Couples Therapist, and as an EAP therapist for major UK employee assistance programs such as Perkbox and Vivup.

I offer telephone counselling, online counselling, and also face to face counselling.

If you're not sure and it all feels overwhelming, you can contact me through the site for a free chat.

My first session

I offer a Free Assessment so you can get a feel for what therapy will be like and decide if you want to go ahead. There is no obligation to continue after this.

This will be a really comfortable and safe space where you can bring anything at all in complete confidence.

If your not sure, please do contact me about a free consultation as its a really good way of trying therapy out. If you just want to find out more about the consultation, that's absolutely fine - just drop me a line and I will get back to you.

What I can help with

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Adoption, AIDS/HIV, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Body/somatic therapy, Business coaching, Cancer, Career coaching, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Coach Therapist, Coaching supervision, Coercive control, Cultural issues, Depression, Development coaching, Disability, Eating disorders, Executive coaching, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Leadership coaching, LGBTQ+ counselling, Life coaching, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Narcissism, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sensory impairment, Service veterans, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stalking, Substance Dependency, Trauma, Vegan allied
