About me and my therapy practice

You may be here because something in your life feels difficult, confusing, or painful right now — and you need to find a way through. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can slow down, explore what’s happening, and begin to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, looking at possible solutions and ways ahead. Together, we’ll work at your pace to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone.

I've worked with people for many years as a mental health specialist and as an integrative therapist. I have a special interest in relationships, separation, and the emotional impact of relationship changes.

I have a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University Surrey, a Diploma in Integrative Person-Centred Counselling, and over 25 years' experience in mental heath and rehabilitation.

I have extensive experience of working with MacMillan and the NHS, helping clients who are affected by cancer.

I help my clients with a wide range of issues, including:

Alcohol Concerns

Bereavement and loss

Anxiety, depression and low self-esteem

Relationship problems

Fatigue, lack of motivation and loss of meaning

Life transitions and change

Mental Health problems

I have extensive experience of working with people who feel alienated and marginalised in our society. I welcome people of all sexualities and gender identities, and those who are questioning how they identify. I have worked at Brighton Housing Trust, Macmillan and the NHS.

I have a particular interest in mental health, how it affects us, and how we can improve the quality of our lives.

For me, it's really important that people are able to feel completely safe, secure, and to know that therapy is a unique place where there will be no judgement - just help, support, and understanding.

Practice description

I am a person-centred integrative therapist. I have worked in the NHS for some time, and now I have my own practice in East Sussex.

I offer sessions without a 'tie-in', so I offer one session at a time, and you can cancel whenever you want. I believe this gives people control and autonomy, and allows access to therapy without needing to commit to long and expensive sessions.

I offer online, telephone or in person sessions. I believe in making clients feel safe and able to talk freely and without judgement. I also believe therapy should be a collaboration, and that laughter and good honest human connection are as important as exploring harder issues and emotions.

You can contact me through the site for a free consultation. This would be 20 minutes, and is an opportunity for you to share what is going on for you, to find out more about therapy, and decide if you would like to book a first paid session.

My first session

I offer a free 20 - 30 minute first session so you can get a feel for what therapy will be like and decide if you want to go ahead. There is no obligation to continue after this.

This will be a really comfortable and safe warm space where you can bring anything at all in complete confidence.

If your not sure, please do contact me about a free consultation as its a really good way of trying therapy out.
