About me and my therapy practice

You might be struggling with low mood, anxiety, relationship issues, self esteem, pressures of modern life or something else. I believe that a safe, non-judgemental space dedicated to understanding yourself can help you process the past and face the future.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I will listen carefully and draw on a range of theories and techniques to help you make the changes you want or need. Approaching our struggles alone can be overwhelming or isolating, I hope to provide safety and structure that will help us make progress together.

We can work together to unpick difficult thoughts and feelings, to strengthen your relationship with yourself and to meet your goals, seeing life from a new perspective. I strive to make you feel heard, offer coping strategies and empower you to be resilient and improve relationships.

I provide a safe and accepting relationship that will help you understand your challenges and explore how you relate to other people. I am passionate about working with diversity and difference; I take an intersectional approach to understanding people's identities and lived experiences.

I work affirmatively with neurodiversity and can help you explore this aspect of your identity and behaviour, if relevant. I also work in a trauma-informed way and can help you with nervous system regulation and managing anxiety. I am passionate about building self-compassion and resilience in clients.

I am a qualified Psychotherapist with a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer in person and online, one-to-one sessions. I have availability across daytime, evenings and weekends.

Practice description

We can have a (free) introductory call to break the ice and introduce ourselves. This gives you an opportunity to ask any questions or just find out if our schedules fit.

If you decide to book a session, I will send you my working agreement and tell you clearly how to get to my office or access online meetings.

After the first session you can decide if you would like to book again and we can find a pattern that suits you. Some people come weekly, fortnightly or even monthly.

My first session

Our first session will work around your needs. Some clients are ready to dive in and start setting their goals or exploring their challenges straight away. Other clients need some time building confidence and trust and getting a sense of whether this relationship is right for them. If you want me to offer some structure, I am happy to lead a little to get you started. If you prefer to lead then I will absolutely follow you. Overall, I want to help you find your answers and make your own decisions, but this can be a collaboration and I will offer the ideas and challenege that I think are beneficial.
