Availability
I currently have availability for new clients. I work in private practice seven days a week, with appointments available from 9am to 6pm, which may suit those looking for weekday or weekend sessions.
Sessions are offered by prior arrangement, and I aim to be as flexible as possible within these hours. If you are enquiring about availability, please feel free to get in touch and I will respond as soon as I can.
If I am planning any time away from practice, this section will be updated accordingly. During any periods when I am out of the office, responses may take slightly longer than usual, but I will reply at the earliest opportunity.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor offering a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can explore whatever may be troubling you. I understand that seeking counselling can feel like a big step, and I aim to help you feel heard, respected and accepted from our very first session.
My approach is client-led and tailored to your individual needs. I work at your pace, offering a calm and non-judgemental environment where you can talk openly, gain clarity and begin to make sense of difficult thoughts or emotions. Together, we can explore patterns, experiences or challenges that may be affecting your wellbeing, relationships or sense of self.
I offer counselling sessions face to face, online or by telephone, allowing flexibility to suit your circumstances and comfort. My face-to-face sessions take place in my private garden therapy room, a peaceful and tranquil setting designed to help you feel relaxed, safe and protected. Many clients find the calm surroundings supportive in creating a sense of space away from everyday pressures.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, loss, relationship difficulties or simply feel in need of support, I will work alongside you with care and compassion. My aim is to help you feel empowered, understood and able to move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
Practice description
I am a registered BACP practitioner offering 50-minute counselling sessions in a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space. My aim is to help you feel heard, understood and empowered as you explore whatever has brought you to therapy.
I work integratively, which means I can draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs. These include person-centred counselling, where the focus is on providing a warm and accepting relationship to help you better understand yourself, as well as psychodynamic therapy, which can explore how past experiences may be affecting your present life.
I also offer solution-focused therapy, which can be helpful if you are looking for practical ways to manage challenges, build resilience and move forward with greater clarity.
People come to counselling for many reasons, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, or simply feeling stuck. Whatever you are facing, I will work alongside you at your pace, helping you make sense of your thoughts and feelings and supporting you towards positive change.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don’t have to face things alone. I offer a calm, compassionate environment where you can begin your journey towards greater wellbeing.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. I will introduce myself and explain how I work, including confidentiality, boundaries, and the counselling contract, so you have a clear understanding of what to expect from therapy.
We will spend time exploring what has brought you to counselling and your current concerns, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I may ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences, background, and what you hope to gain from therapy, but there is no pressure to share anything you are not ready to.
The first session is also a space for you to ask questions and decide whether I feel like the right counsellor for you. Counselling is a collaborative process, and it’s important that you feel at ease.
Sessions take place in my private garden room, which offers a calm, confidential, and comfortable setting, separate from the main home. This space has been created to support reflection and open conversation.
By the end of the session, we can discuss how we might work together going forward and whether you would like to continue with further sessions
