About me and my therapy practice

I offer humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to meet you as a unique individual.

Together, we work at a pace that feels manageable, exploring thoughts, feelings, relationships, and patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your autonomy.

My approach is relational, meaning that I see the therapeutic relationship itself as an important part of healing and change.

I draw from humanistic, relational, developmental, and trauma-informed perspectives, informed by approaches such as person-centred therapy, attachment theory, Gestalt, transactional analysis, and elements of psychodynamic thinking.

I also offer EMDR for clients who may benefit from working with distressing or overwhelming experiences. I believe that therapy is not about being told what to do or being “fixed”; rather, it is a collaborative process of bringing deeper understanding, developing awareness, and discovering what feels meaningful and sustainable for you.

Whatever brings you, I aim to provide a calm, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood.

Sessions are available online and face-to-face in Nottinghamshire, on both short- and longer-term bases, depending on your needs and preference.

Practice description

Seeking therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you are carrying anxiety, shame, grief, overwhelm, or have become used to coping alone. You may feel stuck in repeating patterns, disconnected from yourself or others, uncertain about relationships, or simply sense that something no longer feels sustainable. Whatever has brought you here, therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and explore things differently.

My practice is grounded in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt them to the individual rather than following a fixed model. I believe there is no single theory that fully captures human complexity and that meaningful change often occurs through safe, attuned relationships. Therapy is therefore collaborative, relational, and paced around what feels manageable for you.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, burnout, trauma, relational difficulties, identity questions, grief, neurodivergence, life transitions, and experiences of feeling “stuck” or disconnected. Alongside talking therapy, I may gently integrate psychoeducation around areas such as attachment, emotional regulation, nervous system responses, or relational patterns where this feels helpful and relevant.

My approach is ethical, warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I see therapy as a space where all parts of your experience can be met with curiosity and respect, without pressure to be a certain way or have everything figured out. We move at your pace, with room for both reflection and challenge where appropriate.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Nottinghamshire and online, offering both short- and longer-term support. I also offer a free initial consultation, providing an opportunity to ask questions, explore what brings you to therapy, and consider whether working together feels like the right fit.

My first session

I take a collaborative and relational approach, recognising that every person arrives with a unique story, pace, and way of making sense of the world.

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, explore what has brought you to therapy, and consider whether working together feels like the right fit. I understand that beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or daunting, so there is no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels manageable and safe for you.

I offer a free initial session, giving you space to ask questions about therapy, how I work, and whether my approach feels appropriate for your needs. Our first session will involve gently exploring your current difficulties, personal history where relevant, hopes for therapy, and any practical or relational considerations that may help support the process.

Our first session is also an opportunity to discuss practical aspects of therapy, including confidentiality, boundaries, availability, and any questions or concerns you may have.
