About me and my therapy practice

If you’re feeling unsure, stuck or disconnected, you’re not alone. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed or burnt out. People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be dealing with anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, work stress, questions around identity, past experiences that still affect you, or simply a sense that something does not feel right. You do not need to have the “right” words or a clear reason before beginning.

I’m a person-centred therapist, and my work is based on meeting you as you are — without pressure to explain everything perfectly or know exactly where to begin. Therapy with me is not about rushing you towards answers, but creating space to notice what feels difficult, confusing, or unresolved at your own pace.

I often work with people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. While I work with a wide range of experiences, I have particular interests in neurodivergence, grief, and trauma. I aim to support the way you process, whether through conversation, creativity, silence, or sensory materials: whatever feels grounding and useful for you.

Person-centred therapy can help with anxiety and stress, confidence building, trusting your choices, feeling “not good enough,” grief and loss, identity, life transitions, low mood or depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and other areas.

If this sounds like something that might fit for you, please get in touch — I would love to hear from you.

Practice description

We’ll have regular check‑ins to explore how the therapy feels for you and whether it’s meeting your needs. I don’t have expectations about how quickly someone should move or what “progress” should look like. I’m able to sit with you in places that feel uncomfortable or uncertain, offering steady support as you make sense of things.

I have items such as fidget tools/toys, art materials and other sensory supports as these can help with the therapeutic process.

Accessibility: If you’re planning to come in person, the building has a few stairs up to the main entrance. My room is on the first floor, and there’s a small lift available. If you have any accessibility needs or adjustments that would help you feel comfortable, just let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate them.

My first session

We can talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and anything that feels important for me to understand.

I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and check in with you about what you need from the space. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out, we go at your pace, and the session can be as structured or open as you need it to be.

If you’re attending in person, I’ll show you the room I work from and make sure you feel settled before we begin. If we’re meeting online or by phone, we’ll take a moment to make sure the connection feels comfortable for you.
