About me and my therapy practice
From surviving to thriving – embracing who you are and creating positive change in your life.
As a busy parent it can feel like you’re on a treadmill, always trying to keep up. Parenthood, career, friendships, relationships — it can all feel overwhelming at times. On the outside things seem fine but trying to be perfect all the time is exhausting.
Maybe your children are neurodivergent, and you’re beginning to wonder if that’s why you find some things hard too. Or perhaps you’re carrying the weight of trauma, panic, or anxiety that never seems to ease.
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to face it on your own.
I’m a therapist who understands the emotional weight of carrying a heavy family load — the guilt, frustration, and exhaustion that comes from advocating for your children and exploring your own neurodivergence.
I draw on both personal insight and professional training to help you make sense of neurodivergence, anxiety, and trauma in everyday life. Together, we’ll look beyond the burnout and overwhelm to understand what’s really driving those feelings.
Through my own experience, I know how isolating it can feel when you’re trying to hold everything together. You don’t have to do it alone.
My family includes a range of neurodivergent experiences — ADHD, Autism, PDA, and OCD. Through this, I’ve learnt a lot about compassion, patience, and how to support dysregulated nervous systems.
Training as a therapist helped me realise the most important lesson is self-awareness and acceptance. This isn’t always an easy journey — for me or anyone else! But it’s crucial work, and I’m passionate about helping others on this journey.
My aim is to understand what’s beneath the struggles and help you make sense of who you are. Our work is about helping you feel calmer and more grounded, so you can live life on your own terms. If this sounds like what you need, I’d love to help you take the next step towards feeling more at ease with yourself.
Practice description
Does this sound like you?
You often wonder why some things feel harder for you than they seem to be for others.
You’re a high achiever but often feel like you’re getting it all wrong.
You’re not sure who you are beneath the ‘mask’ of being perfect and trying to please everyone.
You’re awake at night replaying that awkward conversation you had last week, wondering (again) if the problem is you.
You get angry, sad or overwhelmed easily and give yourself a really hard time about it.
Imagine a life where you worry less, enjoy more, and are kinder to yourself and those around you. You’re in the right place. You deserve to be happy and fulfilled, you just need someone who gets it and can work alongside you.
Clients often tell me they feel at ease opening up — that our work helps lighten the load they’ve been carrying. My approach is calm, understanding, and grounded. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe and truly heard as we make sense of things together.
What I offer.
Person-Centred Therapy
The ‘mainstay’ of my practice is person-centred therapy. This approach is founded on the belief that you have the capacity to understand yourself and make positive changes when you have the right support. I don’t tell you what to do—instead, I provide a safe, understanding, and accepting space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.
Trauma-Informed Approach
Having worked in abuse and trauma settings, I know that some clients benefit from a more trauma-informed approach. I have trained in Lifespan Integration Therapy (LI), which helps you gently process and integrate difficult trauma memories, so they lose their emotional intensity.
Parts Work and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I also bring elements of compassionate parts work and Internal Family Systems (IFS) into my practice. IFS views the mind as a system of “parts” that interact like an inner family. Working in this way can help you build self-compassion and care for all parts of yourself.
My first session
Each session is led by you and tailored to your needs. We start from a person-centred perspective and as our work progresses, I may combine approaches in a way that best supports your healing and growth.
Book your discovery call now and let’s see if we’re a good fit. This is a free, no-obligation call that will provide you with some insight into how we can work together.
