About me and my therapy practice

I’m Emily, a BACP-registered therapist offering in-person and online therapy in Brighton and Hove. I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, overthinking, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and feeling overwhelmed. My approach is warm, thoughtful and collaborative, drawing on psychodynamic and relational therapy.

I understand that starting therapy can sometimes feel daunting, so empathy, care and reflection are integral to my process.

When it comes to working with anxiety, overthinking and relational challenges, I’ve learned how important it is for people to have a place where they don’t have to manage everything alone.

I believe therapy can be a place to slow things down and begin to understand yourself more clearly.

If you have any questions or think we might work well together, please get in touch via the contact form and include your email address.

Practice description

I offer a safe and confidential space where you can talk about what’s going on for you at your own pace. Each session begins on the hour and lasts up to 50 minutes.

I don’t offer advice or quick solutions. Instead, I listen closely with you, and we think together about what your experiences might mean and how they connect across your life and relationships.

Over time, this can help you understand yourself more clearly, notice patterns that may be repeating, and find ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more steady and manageable.

My first session

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see how it feels to talk together.

You can share what has brought you to therapy, and we can begin to think about what you might want support with. There is no pressure to say everything at the beginning, and we can work at a pace that feels right for you.

First sessions are £25 for 50 minutes. If we decide to work together, ongoing sessions are £60.
