About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Negin. If you feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or tired of holding it all together, I offer a calm, compassionate space where we gently explore your experience and help you reconnect and make sense of your feelings.

You may be coming to therapy with a feeling rather than a clear story, a heaviness, confusion, or a sense of not feeling at home in yourself. You might feel deeply but struggle to express it. Or you might feel numb, anxious, shut down, or stuck in patterns that don’t quite make sense. Perhaps you've learned to cope, to hold things together, to be strong, but something in you quietly longs to be understood, not fixed.

I am an integrative psychotherapist, drawing on person-centred, relational, and psychodynamic perspectives. That means I don’t follow a single method. Instead, I listen closely to what you need, emotionally, relationally, and culturally, and we tailor our work to meet those needs.

Sometimes this means exploring how past experiences shaped your sense of safety, belonging, or worth. At other times, it means staying close to what feels alive in the present moment, what is felt, but not yet fully known.

I pay attention not only to your words, but to how it feels to be you, in your emotions, your body, and in your relationships. I hold space with the belief that change begins when we feel deeply met, understood, and no longer alone with what we carry within us.

Practice description

The space we create together is steady, thoughtful, and emotionally attuned. I don’t rush your story. We move at a pace that feels safe, gentle, and respectful of how your experience unfolds.

Some sessions may feel grounding and reflective. Others may touch on something tender, confusing, or long-held, sometimes bringing relief, clarity, or a new sense of recognition. I listen closely to what is said, and also to what feels difficult to express, the pauses, hesitations, and emotions that sit just beneath the surface.

Over time, many people begin to feel more emotionally grounded, more able to express what they need, and less alone with what they carry. They begin to trust their own voice, soften old patterns, and relate to themselves in gentler and more authentic ways.

You don’t need perfect words or a clear explanation. You just need to begin, and we will gently make sense of things together.

You’re welcome to reach out if any part of this feels familiar. Sometimes the first step is simply being met where you are.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute initial assessment.

Your first session is an opportunity to meet and get a sense of how we might work together. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels most important to you right now, and any questions you have about the process.

There is no obligation to continue after this initial assessment.
