About me and my therapy practice

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you’re feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed. I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, and I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and loss. I have a particular focus on bereavement and grief, supporting people through the death of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, major life changes, or shifts in how they see themselves.

My approach is rooted in the belief that we all have parts of ourselves that may feel hidden, unheard, or difficult to face. I believe healing and personal growth happen in relationships — through being seen, heard, and understood by another non-judgemental human being. Your voice and experience matter, and therapy offers a space where your emotions and experiences can be explored safely and at your own pace.

I work integratively, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and tailoring my work to each individual. Our work together can be short-term or long-term, depending on what feels most helpful for you.

Alongside my therapy training, I bring 15 years of experience working in corporate and creative industries. This allows me to understand the pressures of high-stress environments, work-related anxiety, burnout, and the impact of demanding professional roles on wellbeing and relationships.

Practice description

I see therapy as a collaborative and supportive process of reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside or felt too difficult to acknowledge. Therapy can be a place to talk openly about feelings that may be hard to share elsewhere, such as grief, anger or shame, and to begin developing greater self-compassion and emotional resilience.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, or a sense of not feeling good enough, our work together can provide an anchor. A space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what you are experiencing. Sessions are guided by your needs and goals, and we will work at a pace that feels right for you.

Therapy may involve gaining insight into present-day difficulties, exploring how past experiences continue to influence the present, and reflecting on deeper questions of identity, meaning, and purpose.

My practice focuses on building insight and self-acceptance, while also supporting meaningful and lasting change. I aim to help you feel more grounded, authentic, and confident in yourself, both within and beyond the therapy room.

My first session

I offer a complimentary, no obligation, initial call lasting 20 minutes. This is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss your needs and answer any initial questions you may have.

If you’d like to go ahead, we can schedule our first full session, which lasts 50 minutes and is charged at the rate agreed during our initial call.

During this session, I will go through my Counselling Agreement with you. It will also be a chance to explore your needs more fully and consider whether it would be helpful for us to work together. There is no obligation to continue beyond this session.

If you feel I’m not the right therapist for you, I can offer recommendations for alternative support.
