About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative psychotherapist with an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and seven years of experience working in mental health. I provide a reflective space for your inner thoughts and feelings to be explored, understood, and met with compassion.
My approach combines diverse therapeutic modalities designed to help you understand and overcome issues related with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, loss and more.
The therapy process will be adjusted to your needs, the time together will be thoughtfully designed for you to voice and understand your difficulties and its possible roots. Gradually we will see how your thoughts and feelings around your issues will start to change. I will facilitate this process, and provide all he necessary tools and strategies to achieve what you want to get from therapy.
I'm experienced in helping clients navigate interpersonal challenges (such as social anxiety, loneliness, and conversational barriers) as well as relationship difficulties (including unstable romantic patterns and dysfunctional family dynamics). Other areas of knowledge I can help you with are related to migratory processes and the unique challenges of navigating neurodivergent experiences.
Practice description
Scheduling and Commitment
I offer flexible therapy scheduling, mainly weekly but open to fortnightly appointments, as continuity is important to see results.
The Assessment Period
First sessions will be focused on getting to know you, understanding your circumstances, context, and the roots of your issues. I will likely have a more active role asking questions to understand them better, or offer an empathic and quiet space for you to vent and explain fully. After this assessment period, I will provide more feedback, and offer interpretations to be discussed in the sessions.
The Ongoing Therapeutic Process
As sessions go further, once we have a better grasp of your difficulties and needs, we will start diving deeper, understanding deeper your difficulties and exploring ways to change. the agenda is not linear, new goals and difficulties can appear, and we will give space to what comes up. We could eventually include solution-focused approaches and develop actionable plans to tackle certain difficulties, if this is something that we agree will be beneficial and appropriate.
