About me and my therapy practice

Hi, and welcome to my page.

I’m Rochelle, an integrative psychotherapist based in London, offering online therapy.

I have broad clinical experience across the NHS, a specialist women’s centre, and low-cost therapy services, working with students, parents, and professionals. I work with a wide range of issues, including workplace stress, discrimination, relationship difficulties, cross-cultural issues, anxiety, self-esteem, and health concerns.

Specialist Interest

Alongside working with a wide range of issues, I have a specialist interest in coercive control, gaslighting, institutional betrayal, legal abuse, and stalking, particularly where power dynamics affect relationships and workplaces.

At Master’s level, my research focused on stalking, specifically how psychotherapists support those targeted. First published in British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s flagship magazine, Therapy Today, this work continues to inform my ongoing writing on stalking, coercive and controlling behaviours, and legal abuse.

Background

I grew up in Germany and Spain, studied in Paris, and worked in Bangkok. Before training as a therapist, I worked in corporate learning and development and human resources, as well as in education and the not-for-profit sector.

My multilingual background informs my sensitivity to language, meaning, and cultural context within the therapeutic relationship. I practise in English.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and extended family.

Practice description

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, and work exclusively online.

My approach is informed by person-centred, psychodynamic, and transactional analysis approaches, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work.

My Clinical Experience Includes:

Counsellor, NHS Putneymead Group Medical Practice

Counsellor, Headstrong Counselling

Counsellor, Kingston Women’s Centre

Counsellor, ASCA (Addiction Support & Care Agency)

My first session

Our first session will be an initial assessment and can last up to 2 hours. If we agree to work together, sessions will usually be weekly and 50 minutes long.

I offer a brief, free phone call so we can get a sense of each other and decide together whether working together feels right.
