About me and my therapy practice
I work with people in high-pressure roles who are used to holding things together for everyone else - at work, at home, in their business. On the outside you may look ‘fine’ but inside it might feel very different. Perhaps the stress doesn’t ever switch off, decisions keep circling, and there maybe a quiet sense you’ve lost touch with yourself.
I bring over 20 years' experience in leadership development and organisational consultancy within global organisations to my work as a psychotherapist and counsellor. Together, we create space to make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, helping you gain clarity, recognise recurring patterns and move forward with greater confidence.
Our work together isn’t about quick fixes or boosting ‘resilience.’ It’s about creating a confidential, judgment-free space to slow down, think clearly, and work through what’s going on for you, so you can move forward and live better. Let’s connect and explore what’s happening.
Practice description
You may be managing well on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck beneath the surface. Perhaps the same difficulties keep appearing in your relationships or work, or you have reached a point where familiar ways of coping no longer seem enough.
I offer a warm, thoughtful and confidential space where we can explore what is happening without judgement or pressure to find quick answers. My approach is psychodynamic, which means we pay attention not only to your present difficulties but also to the experiences, relationships and patterns that may be shaping how you feel and respond today.
Therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply, make sense of difficult emotions and develop greater freedom in how you relate to yourself and others. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, loss, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, workplace pressures, life transitions and the emotional cost of carrying responsibility for others.
Sessions take place weekly and last 50 minutes. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on your needs. Appointments are available in person in Glasgow’s West End and online across the UK.
I am a registered member of BACP and COSCA and work within their professional and ethical standards. Alongside psychotherapy, I am an executive coach with extensive experience of supporting professionals and leaders. Where appropriate, this enables me to understand both the personal and workplace contexts of what you may be facing, while maintaining clear boundaries around whether our work is therapy or coaching.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and explore what brings you to therapy, what you hope for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
It’s a gentle, conversational session - there is no formal assessment. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance - just bring yourself and whatever feels important to share. I’ll ask a few questions to help me understand your situation and we’ll talk through how therapy might best support you.
Some clients come with a clear focus, while others simply have a sense that something isn’t quite right. Either is absolutely fine. The aim of the first meeting is to get a feel for whether the space feels safe, comfortable, and helpful.
If we decide to continue, we’ll agree a regular time to meet each week. Sessions last 50 minutes and are £85. However I believe firmly that therapy should be accessible for everyone and so I am happy to offer concession rates.
You’re welcome to take some time after the first session before deciding whether to continue - there’s no pressure or commitment beyond this initial meeting.
