About me and my therapy practice

I bring kindness and curiosity to our work together, creating an supportive and collaborative space where we can begin to make meaning of your experience.

As we reflect on your past and present, we may notice relational patterns and your ways of being in relationship with yourself, others and the world around you.

I nurture a mindful approach towards self-acceptance and self-compassion, and encourage an interest in your feelings in the present moment and in the truth of your immediate experience.

Space can be created to process your thoughts and emotions, and pathways towards positive change can be explored. In this way, therapy can help you to process your difficulties, feel more connected, and allow for a greater sense of freedom in everyday life.

The relationship we develop together is key to therapeutic change and I endeavour to approach each piece of work with genuine interest, commitment and respect.

Practice description

I am an integratively trained psychotherapeutic counsellor - BSc (Hons), drawing on a range of theories and approaches to support clients with diverse needs and experiences.

I work relationally, drawing from psychodynamic and humanistic theory, and integrating developmental & Attachment theories as a way of understanding relational patterns, unconscious processes, and how the past informs the present.

An overarching Mindfulness based approach encourages presence and greater self acceptance and compassion.

I have experience working with trauma, anxiety and depression, low self esteem, relationship issues, life transitions. I can help you to explore feelings around identity, difference, belonging, isolation and feeling stuck. I work across a broad range of issues and have an open-minded approach to whatever you bring.

I welcome the spectrum of difference and individuality that each person brings to therapy.

I enjoy working with individuals with ADHD, autism, neurodivergence, diagnosed or otherwise.

I have previous experience working in a school for Autistic children, and have training from the Anna Freud Centre with AT-Autism - these broaden my view and understanding of Neurodivergence, an area of particular interest.

I am registered MBACP and also an accredited member of NCPS. My work is insured and professionally supervised. I adhere to BACP, NCPS & UKCP codes of ethics.
