About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Hetty. I am based in Person-Centred Counselling, which means I believe every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and change when given the right conditions of empathy, understanding, and acceptance.

Everyone’s reasons for seeking therapy are different — we are all unique. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, gain clarity, and find your own way forward.

I have experience working with young people aged 16+ and adults, and I offer a gentle, collaborative approach that meets you where you are. My areas of special interest include parenting anxiety, general anxiety, neurodiversity, ADHD and dyslexia, school-based trauma, domestic violence, and a wide range of other life experiences and transitions.

I offer sessions face to face, online via a secure platform, or by phone, providing flexibility and accessibility to suit your needs.

Practice description

As an integrative counsellor, my foundation is Person-Centred, meaning I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I offer a supportive, empathic space where you are listened to without judgement, allowing self-awareness and empowerment to emerge naturally.

I went on to study integrative practice, which enables me to draw on a range of theories, techniques, and mindsets. Working collaboratively, we’ll explore and determine an approach that best supports you — whether that involves understanding patterns from your past, exploring current difficulties, or visualising and working towards the future you want.

I offer sessions face to face, online via a secure platform, or by phone, providing flexibility to suit your needs. Sessions can be short or longer term, depending on what feels right for you.

My first session

I offer a 20–30 minute introductory session, available online, by telephone, or face to face. This session helps us explore whether I’m the right counsellor for you and gives you a chance to ask any questions about the therapy process.
