About me and my therapy practice

Many people seek therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship issues or emotional pain. While these concerns are important, they do not capture the full picture. I focus on understanding each person as an individual, shaped by their unique relationships, experiences and challenges.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on psychodynamic, humanistic and existential approaches to develop a shared understanding that reflects your individuality, rather than fitting you into a specific theory or diagnosis. Together, we explore your current situation and the factors that have shaped it.

I have experience working with neurodiversity, eating difficulties, addiction, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, trauma and identity concerns. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to help you achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Having experienced the transformative impact of therapy myself, I understand the importance of a space where you can be completely honest and free from judgement.

Practice description

Therapy is more than finding answers or reducing symptoms. It offers an opportunity for reflection, understanding the influences that have shaped you, and discovering new possibilities.

Some people come to therapy with a clear goal, while others feel life has become difficult to navigate, even when the reasons are unclear. We start with what feels most important to you.

Our work may include exploring current and past challenges, key relationships, significant life events, identity, and recurring emotional patterns. As therapy progresses, you may begin to see old difficulties differently, recognise new possibilities, and feel more prepared to move forward.

I view therapy as a process of discovery; my role is to work alongside you to build an understanding that truly reflects your story, values, and the future you wish to create.

My first session

The first session allows us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your goals, any questions you have, and what you need to feel confident about the process.

Initial sessions are more than information-gathering. They mark the start of a process to build a shared understanding, identify what matters most to you, and consider how I can best support you.

You are welcome to share as much as you wish about your background, current circumstances, and the areas you want to explore. There is no expectation to share your entire story in the first session. We will proceed at a pace that feels comfortable for you, whether you need time to reflect or prefer to focus on a specific area from the start.

If we have not already covered them, I can explain the practical aspects of therapy, including confidentiality, session length, and fees.

If we choose to continue, we will schedule weekly appointments. The first session is billed at my standard rate. If I believe it would be helpful, I may invite you to complete an assessment. This is entirely optional and depends on your individual circumstances.

Simply putting words to an experience can begin to change how it is carried. The first session marks the start of that.

About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy is a big decision, and it is natural to have questions or uncertainties. Many people begin therapy when they are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotional distress, or other concerns. While these issues matter, they rarely capture the whole story. I believe that understanding you as an individual, shaped by your relationships, unique experiences, and circumstances, is at the heart of meaningful therapy.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential approaches, and CBT if required, to develop a shared understanding that reflects who you are, rather than asking you to fit within a particular theory or diagnosis. Together, we'll explore your present experiences, what has shaped them, and the possibilities that may emerge through therapy.

I have experience supporting clients with neurodiversity, eating difficulties, addiction, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, identity, and relationship challenges. Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and create lasting, meaningful change.

Having experienced the transformative impact of therapy myself, I know how important it is to have a space where you can be completely honest, without fear of judgement.

Practice description

Therapy is not simply about finding answers or reducing symptoms. It offers an opportunity to reflect, understand the influences that have shaped you, and discover new possibilities.

My sessions are collaborative, thoughtful, and responsive. Together, we can explore patterns, relationships, and ways of coping that may no longer serve you, while developing a deeper understanding of yourself and the choices available to you.

Whether you come with a clear goal or simply a sense that life has become difficult to navigate, we start with what feels most important to you. As therapy develops, many people find themselves seeing old difficulties in a new light, recognising fresh possibilities, and feeling more confident about moving forward.

My first session

The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy. We can discuss what you hope to gain from our work together, any questions you may have, and what you need to feel confident in the process. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels right for you.

This first meeting is more than gathering information; it marks the beginning of building a shared understanding of what matters most to you and how I can best support you. I'll also explain practical aspects such as confidentiality, session length, and fees, so you know what to expect.

If we decide to continue, we can arrange regular weekly sessions. I can invite you to complete an assessment; it is optional and based on your needs. There's no obligation to continue if my approach does not feel right for you, and I will be happy to recommend other practitioners.

Simply putting words to an experience can begin to change how it is carried. The first session is the beginning of that process.

About me and my therapy practice

Many people seek therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, emotional pain, or other mental health concerns. While these are important, they do not tell the whole story. I aim to understand each person as an individual, shaped by unique relationships, experiences, and challenges.

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist with clinical and life-coaching experience, and I hold a Master's degree in Psychotherapy. My training enables me to tailor each session to your needs, using a range of approaches to support your growth and well-being. You can be confident you are receiving attentive, knowledgeable care grounded in professional expertise and practical experience. My style is collaborative.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential approaches and use CTB when appropriate to develop a shared understanding that honours your individuality rather than imposing a fixed theory or diagnosis. Together, we examine your current situation and the factors that have shaped it.

I have experience working with neurodiversity, eating difficulties, addiction, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, and other behavioural and emotional concerns. Whatever brings you to therapy, my aim is to help you achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Having experienced the transformative impact of therapy myself, I understand the importance of providing a space where you can be completely honest and free from judgement.

Practice description

Therapy can be more than finding answers or reducing symptoms. It offers an opportunity to reflect, understand the influences that have shaped you, and discover new possibilities. In each session, you can expect a supportive, collaborative environment where we talk about what feels important to you at your own pace, whether that is current experiences, past events, or hopes for the future.

Some people come to therapy with a clear goal, while others feel life has become difficult to navigate, even when the reasons are unclear. It's completely acceptable to feel unsure or nervous when starting therapy. These initial feelings are part of the process, and many people share them. You can also be confident that everything discussed in our sessions remains confidential and that your privacy will be respected.

Our work may include exploring current and past challenges, key relationships, significant life events, identity, and recurring emotional patterns. As therapy progresses, you may begin to see old difficulties differently, recognise new possibilities, and feel more prepared to move forward.

I view therapy as a process of discovery. My role is to work alongside you to build an understanding that truly reflects your story, your values, and the future you wish to create. I recognise that therapy should adapt to each person, not the other way around, and I strive to ensure that our work together is tailored to your unique needs and preferences.

If I believe it would be helpful, I may invite you to complete an assessment. This is entirely optional and depends on your individual circumstances.

Afterwards, there is no obligation to continue if you feel the approach is not right for you. Should you choose not to proceed, I can offer recommendations or referrals to other practitioners who may be a better fit.

We will work together in a way that fits your needs, addressing your goals and any new concerns as they arise. Each session provides time to explore, gain perspective, and receive support.

Simply putting words to an experience can begin to change how it is carried. The first session marks the start of that process.
