About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Helen, an Integrative Counsellor based in Horsham, West Sussex. Life can feel heavy at times, but you don't have to carry it on your own. I work with adults and young people who are facing anxiety, stress, low mood, big life changes, relational issues, bereavement, or that sense of simply feeling overwhelmed.
Whether you'd like to talk things through over a few weeks or want longer-term support, we'll go at a pace that feels right for you.
I have a special interest in neurodivergence, including Autism and ADHD. I offer a space where you can feel understood, explore your relationships and sense of identity, and make sense of the experiences that are uniquely yours.
For me, counselling begins with a genuine, trusting relationship, and I want you to feel comfortable in how we work together. That's why I offer:
• Face-to-face sessions in Horsham
• Online counselling by video
• Walk & Talk sessions in local parks, a gentle, relaxed alternative to sitting in a counselling room
My experience includes working with young people and adults as a counsellor in schools. I also have experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues at a counselling charity in Surrey, and have worked with individuals experiencing bereavement and anticipatory bereavement through a local hospice.

If you're wondering whether counselling might help, I'd be glad to hear from you
Practice description
I use an Integrative Counselling approach, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to you, your individual needs and what feels most helpful for you.
My aims are to help you untangle difficult thoughts you might be having, support you with developing effective ways of coping with the challenges you are facing, and to create space for you to develop a sense of inner safety.
My training incorporated a Christian Worldview and I have experience supporting people who would like to explore how their current circumstances may be affecting their faith. I offer a safe, welcoming space to explore these questions at your own pace.
My first session
The first step is to reach out and book in a free online call. This will give you an opportunity to explore your reasons for seeking counselling, and see if we will be a good fit for your therapeutic journey. Here, you can ask any questions that you might have, then if you feel comfortable, we can arrange a first session together.
