About me and my therapy practice
Something brought you here - a moment, a worry, a feeling you can't ignore anymore. If you need a moment to pause, I can offer you the space to land.
With the warmest welcome, I'm Georgianne, an experienced integrative counsellor, offering a safe and supportive space in the heart of Tring. I work in an integrative, psychotherapeutic and neurodiverse-affirming way and hold a special interest in the stories we carry from our past and how they shape the way we relate, cope, and connect today.
Whether you’re navigating burnout, anxiety or depression, childhood emotional neglect, relationship patterns that keep repeating, caring responsibilities, or a sense of 'I should be coping better than this', our work will move at your pace. My role is to help you understand yourself more deeply, make sense of why you feel as you do, and support you to create new ways of relating to yourself, others and the world around you.
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, it’s about finding you.
If something in this resonates, you’re welcome to get in touch. I’d be glad to meet you.

Practice description
I created The Therapy Nest, to support individuals when things begin to feel too difficult to manage alone. People often come to me when they’re holding everything together on the outside but quietly struggling on the inside. If that’s you, you’re not alone and you don’t have to keep doing it by yourself.
Both my extensive training and my lived experiences shape the way I work. I understand how complex, painful and confusing life can feel - through trauma, loss, bereavement, pregnancy loss, parenthood, addiction, and family relationships that don’t always meet our needs.
As a parent-carer, I have a deep, personal understanding of neurodiversity, especially ASD, PDA and ADHD, and this forms the foundation of my neurodiversity-affirming approach.
Before private practice, I have worked with charities supporting unpaid carers, helping them navigate the emotional strain, identity shifts, and invisible pressures that caring roles often bring.
Alongside this, I have experience working with individuals who have lived through trauma - including sexual abuse, coercive control, grief & loss, complex family dynamics, low self-esteem and confidence, health anxiety and hoarding behaviours.
My first session
Our first session
The first session is a space for us to slow things down and begin getting to know one another. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
In this session, we’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any previous experiences of counselling you may have had. I’ll also ask some gentle questions about your background and current circumstances to help me understand you more fully.
I’ll explain how I work, including boundaries, confidentiality, and what ongoing sessions might look like. There’s also time for you to ask any questions and to get a sense of whether I feel like the right therapist for you because finding the right fit is important.
Some people come with clear goals, while others just know something doesn’t feel right. Both are completely welcome. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to in the first session.
If it feels appropriate, we may begin to gently explore patterns or themes, but the focus is on creating a safe, supportive foundation for our work together.
