About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Julia. I am a qualified and BACP Registered Humanistic Therapist; working in accordance with BACP's Code of Ethics and Practice.
I offer face to face sessions from my comfortable therapy rooms in Horsham, Hurstpierpoint and Hove, online or by telephone.
Practice description
I offer a compassionate, confidential space for us to explore what is of importance to you and aim to work collaboratively to understand your life experiences and your perspective.
I am curious of not solely what is spoken but mindful of how, through tone and body language for a deeper understanding. I provide space to really hear you and listen carefully to help you understand your feelings and look at any unhelpful patterns of behaviour.
I will work with you at a pace, depth and duration that feels right for you. This can help in understanding life's challenges, self-awareness, resilience, confidence and empowerment.
My approach comes from my personal and professional values. Sometimes working creatively can be helpful when words are not adequate or to approach issues in a gentle way. You may choose to work with music, writing, images or prefer to talk.
My first session
I offer a free initial 20 minute telephone call. We can discuss what you would like from therapy and the opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have.
Deciding if we feel comfortable working together; as relationship is a key factor between therapist and client.
Please contact me if you wish to arrange this. I will reply typically within 24 hrs
