About me and my therapy practice
I see therapy as a space where you can slow down and begin to understand yourself more deeply. Often, the struggles we experience are not just about the present moment, but are connected to earlier relationships, cultural expectations, life experiences, and the roles we have learned to carry. My work invites gentle exploration of these patterns, helping you make sense of what feels stuck, overwhelming, or confusing.
I work relationally and holistically. This means I consider not only your thoughts, but also your emotional world, your body, and your wider sense of meaning. I recognise the connection between the mind, the body, and the nervous system; including how stress, trauma, and unresolved experiences can be held physically as well as psychologically. Where appropriate, we may reflect on the links between the gut, brain, emotional responses, and your overall wellbeing.
I also remain open to the spiritual dimension of self, where this feels important to you. My aim is to support you in developing a more integrated awareness of who you are psychologically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually , so that growth feels grounded and sustainable.
Above all, I offer a steady, compassionate space where you can explore your inner world safely and begin moving towards greater clarity, confidence, and self-understanding.
Practice description
I offer 50-minute sessions in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly about whatever feels difficult or overwhelming. You may be feeling stuck, struggling with anxiety or low mood, facing relationship challenges, questioning your identity, or trying to make sense of past experiences. I am here to support you.
My approach is client-centred, meaning our work is guided by you. I aim to meet you with empathy, respect, compassion, and understanding, working at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on your needs.
Alongside my counselling and psychology training, I bring over 14 years of experience in family support and multi-agency settings, including work within child exploitation and trafficking teams. This has strengthened my ability to work with complex trauma, safeguarding concerns, and sensitive experiences with care and professionalism.
I have particular understanding of working within diverse and Asian communities, while warmly welcoming clients from all backgrounds.
My first session
Our first session is a gentle and supportive space for us to begin getting to know one another. We will complete the necessary paperwork and an initial assessment, which helps me understand your current concerns, personal history, and what has brought you to therapy at this time.
I will explain how I work and what you can expect from our sessions together. We will also go through practical information such as confidentiality, policies, cancellations, session times, and payments, so everything feels clear and transparent from the start.
There is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you, allowing you to begin therapy in a way that feels contained and supported.
