About me and my therapy practice
I work particularly with people recovering from difficult or narcissistic relationship patterns, anxiety and low self esteem. I also work closely with people experiencing low self-esteem, confidence difficulties, and a persistent sense of self-doubt.
I offer a warm, calm and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace. I work with both adults and young people, supporting individuals who may be experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, emotional overwhelm, or challenges related to confidence and self-worth.
I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and on creating a space where you feel safe, understood and genuinely listened to. Clients often tell me that they feel deeply heard in our work together, often in ways they have not experienced before.
My interest in counselling is rooted in understanding how early relationships and life experiences shape the way we relate to others, understand ourselves, and navigate the world. I aim to support clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, and confidence in how they respond to challenges in their lives.
I have experience working with both adults and young people across a range of professional settings, supporting clients at different life stages with emotional, relational and psychological difficulties. I work with sensitivity to individual needs and backgrounds, recognising that each person’s experiences and challenges are unique.
Practice description
I offer integrative counselling, drawing primarily on person-centred therapy alongside Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic perspectives. This means sessions are led at your pace, while also allowing space to explore patterns, thoughts, feelings and past experiences that may be influencing present difficulties.
Sessions provide a consistent, confidential space where we can explore what feels most important for you each week. Some clients find it helpful to focus on current challenges, while others wish to explore deeper emotional patterns or experiences from earlier in life. We work collaboratively, gently building insight, self-awareness and practical ways of responding to difficulties where helpful.
I currently offer online sessions. Together we can agree whether short-term or longer-term work feels most appropriate for your needs, and we review the work regularly to ensure therapy remains supportive and relevant for you.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and to talk about what has brought you to therapy at this time. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and there is no pressure to know exactly where to begin.
We will explore what you hope to gain from counselling, discuss how I work, and consider whether working together feels like the right fit for you. You are welcome to ask any questions about the process, and we can also talk about practical arrangements such as session frequency and availability.
