About me and my therapy practice
When life feels overwhelming, finding space to speak your truth can help you to understand how to manage and cope with the challenges of life, which may be causing anxiety. My experience includes loss and bereavement, trauma, abuse, relationship issues and in helping to regain a sense of self in a world of overwhelm.
I offer a calm, intuitive, reflective space for you to explore your emotions and feelings.
My background in Gestalt therapy means I work in the here and how, whilst exploring how the past and lived experiences can shape responses and reactions to others and ourselves. My sessions are collaborative, and can be creative - led by what you bring. The focus is to help you feel more like yourself.
Practice description
I am a fully qualified Gestalt therapist, with a MSc in Psychology. As a member of BACP I work to their ethical framework and adhere to guidelines around supervision and my own continuing professional development (CPD).
I strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, honesty and respect; with strong values of confidentiality and empathy for your lived experiences.
I believe that relationships, experiences and moments in life, shape who we become and can hold enormous insight into how you may feel in your here and now.
Together, we can begin to understand those connections and gently shift the patterns that no longer serve you.
My first session
It’s important for you to feel comfortable with your therapist. Your first session will last around 30 minutes and will be free of charge.
Your first session will give you space to talk about what brings you to therapy, and for us to talk about how we can work together. It will give you the chance to see what therapy sessions with me would be like, and is a gentle introduction to how I work. During this first session, I will explain how I work and what the process will be.
