About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor each session to your unique needs.

My work is rooted in humanistic and person centred values - I believe that every person has an innate capacity for growth and self understanding, and that counselling can help to uncover and nurture that potential.

Using an integrative approach allows me to adapt how we work together, choosing what may be most helpful for you at any given moment. I may draw on ideas from psychodynamic therapy, transactional analysis, existential therapy, or ecotherapy -always guided by your experiences and what feels right for you.

I aim to create a warm, inclusive environment where you can explore your inner world at your own pace. My practice welcomes neurodivergent clients and celebrates individual differences - however you experience and make sense of the world, you are valued and accepted here.

Practice description

Counselling provides a safe and secure space within your week. Where for at least 50 minutes, you can truly be yourself (if you so which) where you can share any thoughts, feelings, or concerns without fear of being judged. It might feel selfish even overindulgent, to devote this time to yourself when our time is carved up and split between so many places. But don’t you deserve to put yourself for a change?

Your journey begins with a free 20-minute telephone consultation, giving you the chance to ask questions and explore what counselling involves.

If you choose to continue, sessions are held weekly, each lasting 50 minutes, providing a consistent and supportive space for your personal growth and reflection.

I use to fantastic counselling spaces, one in central Chelmsford one in Springfield, both within easy reach of public transport.

I am also available for walk and talk ecotherapy in other locations in the Springfield and Chelmsford area.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet either in person at one of my two of my consultation rooms or online and see how we connect, as a good connection is the strongest foundation for any therapeutic work together. We’ll discuss your current situation and any challenges you might be facing and what you hope to gain from therapy.  This will also be chance for me to answer any questions you might have about the therapy process, timing, sessions and fees etc.

What I can help with

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Child related issues, Eating disorders, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Neurodiversity, Personal development, Redundancy, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
