I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can explore whether we are a good fit before committing.
Fees: £65 per 50-minute session. I reserve a few reduced-rate places for trainees and those on low incomes. If cost is a barrier, please mention this during our initial call; we can discuss options openly.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm Dominik, a Gestalt Counsellor and Polish expat helping men, survivors, and migrants navigate silence and displacement.
I help clients navigate emotional pain, rebuild self-compassion, and reclaim their agency. My work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, with a specific focus on men, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and migrants who feel caught between cultures.
My path to counselling was shaped by four years of volunteering in suicide prevention and more recently with a charity supporting survivors of sexual abuse. Through this work, I witnessed how silence and shame can isolate us, and I dedicated myself to creating a space where that silence can be broken safely.
As someone who has navigated the complex journey of migration, I understand the specific grief of not feeling fully at home in your chosen country, yet no longer fully at home in your motherland. I bring this lived experience into my practice, offering a unique perspective for those navigating identity and displacement.
Who I Work With
- Men who feel isolated by societal expectations or struggle to articulate their emotions.
- Survivors of sexual abuse seeking to process trauma and rebuild a sense of safety.
- Migrants and expats navigating cultural displacement, the grief of leaving home, and the search for belonging.
- I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, and LGBTQ+ identity, always grounding our work in your unique story and experience of belonging.
Practice description
I use a Gestalt approach that is relational and deeply present. Rather than trying to "fix" you or analyse your past from a distance, we focus on what is happening here and now.
We will explore your emotions, body sensations, and patterns as they show up in the room. This allows us to uncover what is blocking you and open up new possibilities for how you relate to yourself and others. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can be vulnerable without fear.
Important Note on Safety: While I have experience supporting people in crisis, my private practice is dedicated to therapeutic healing. For immediate, life-threatening emergencies, I provide clear referrals to specialist emergency services.
My first session
Our first meeting is a chance to get to know each other. We will discuss what brings you here, your goals, and how we might work together. There is no pressure to make a decision right away.
This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach, confidentiality, or anything else on your mind. The first session is billed at the standard rate of £65.
