About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative psychotherapist, I work with young people and adults, both individually and as couples, who are navigating family and relationship difficulties, generational and cultural conflicts, identity, existential or faith crises, childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, the challenges of being neurodivergent and fears in unprecedentedly changing times.

In my sessions, I will draw on humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches to suit your needs. We may explore earlier experiences and relationship patterns, as well as thoughts and behaviours that affect your daily life. I provide assertive check-ins in our sessions to explore your experience in therapy and will adjust my approach to best suit the moment.

What I value

For me, reflection is where I return when I need to understand what I am feeling, recognise patterns, or find my footing again. It has helped me meet life's difficulties with greater clarity, honesty and choice. It has also given me the strength to step away from relationships that were no longer healthy and build ones that last.

That is why I do this work. Because I know what self-awareness, developed in therapy, can make possible: building self-esteem and evolving how we communicate and connect. I have a deep understanding of how cutoffs, exclusion, bullying and difference can affect a sense of self.

My family is multicultural, and I have travelled, worked and lived navigating cultures and languages. I understand both the complexity and richness of belonging to more than one place.

If language, culture, identity, or belonging are part of what brings you to therapy, our work has room for that complexity.

I offer psychotherapy in English and Portuguese

Practice description

Some things are kept inside. Others arrive without warning. Some difficulties build quietly beneath our capabilities and overfunctioning. Others change life suddenly, often leaving us disoriented, stuck or unsure. When we first meet, you do not need to give me a neatly explained story. We can begin with the thought that returns at four in the morning, the heaviness that carries into the day, or simply what feels overwhelming. I’ll start by asking what you hope will be different in therapy, even if you're unsure how to say it. Together, we can make a plan and decide on the next step, whether short-term or long-term therapy. If you use AI for emotional support between sessions, we can explore what helps and what unsettles you.

My first session

Please email me to arrange a free 15-minute introductory call—a chance to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

Before our first session, I will send you a therapy agreement outlining payment, confidentiality, cancellations and how often we will meet.
