Availability
For the time being, I am offering therapy exclusively online, providing a safe, private, and flexible space for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Sessions are available on weekday evenings and at weekends, making it easier to fit therapy around school, work, or family life. Even online, my focus is on creating a grounded, containing space where you or your child can feel heard, understood, and supported, without added stress or pressure.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist working relationally with clients of all ages. I believe that we carry our experiences, including the painful or confusing ones, inside us, and these experiences shape how we feel, think, and connect in the world. Trauma, loss, or difficult early experiences often leave traces in our emotional life, sometimes showing up in ways we don’t fully understand.
In therapy, my role is to provide a steady, attuned presence where these experiences can be explored safely. Together, we look at how the past and present intersect, helping you or your child to understand what has been shaping thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. This understanding becomes the foundation for change, growth, and a more secure sense of self.
I work at the pace that feels right for each person, following what is most alive in the session. I am curious, reflective, and deeply committed to holding a safe space where clients of all ages can be seen, heard, and understood. Every person I meet brings their own story, and I approach that story with respect, care, and a belief in the possibility of growth and reflection.
Practice description
My practice is located in a quiet residential area with easy on-road parking. The therapy room is designed to feel calm, warm, and containing, with creative materials for children and young people who may find it easier to express themselves through play or drawing. Although my therapy room is currently under renovation, I offer online sessions in a private, secure, and confidential space. My aim is to create a calm and containing environment virtually, where clients feel they can speak freely, explore emotions safely, and be supported fully.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity to connect, explore what brings you to therapy, and see if the way I work feels like a good fit. Many clients arrive feeling anxious, uncertain, or overwhelmed, this is natural. I strive to offer a relational, grounding, and containing presence from the very start, creating a space where it is safe to be honest, curious, and vulnerable.
We will begin by exploring your experiences, what feels difficult, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. I take a gentle, conversational approach to assessment, understanding your needs while keeping the focus on what is most important to you in the moment. For parents or carers, part of the session involves thinking together about how therapy can best support the child or young person.
I see past trauma as a part of your story, not a definition of you. It often leaves traces in how we feel, relate, and make sense of the world, traces that can be understood, held, and worked with in a safe, relational space. By acknowledging and exploring these experiences, we can begin to ease their impact and create room for growth and reflection.
Sessions are charged at my usual rate, including the first appointment. I also offer a brief introductory phone call if you would like to speak with me before booking, so you can get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit.
