Sessions are currently offered online, which allows flexibility and comfort in your own space, though in‑person work is something I am open to exploring if that feels important to you. I specialise in working with adults aged 18 and over, particularly around anxiety, family relationships, and bereavement. I tend to work in a relational, emotionally focused way, helping you to make sense of recurring patterns, difficult emotions, and the impact of loss or family dynamics on your life today. My aim is to create a safe, warm, and thoughtful space where you feel genuinely heard and can begin to feel more anchored, clear, and hopeful about your relationships and your future.
About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or deeply lonely at times, and it’s often in those moments that we lose touch with ourselves. Therapy, for me, is about creating a space where you can slow down, feel truly seen, and begin to reconnect with who you are beneath the anxiety, family patterns, or grief you carry.
I work in a very relational way, believing that the connection between therapist and client is central to healing. I aim to be a real, present person in the room with you rather than a “blank slate,” curious about your experience and already on your side. I tend to notice emotions as they come up—especially when your words and body language tell different stories—and gently invite you to stay with the uncomfortable feelings, because that is where authenticity and change often begin.
We’ll explore the deeper feelings that matter to you, with your priorities at the centre of the work we do together. My focus is on understanding what brings you to therapy now—whether that’s anxiety, family relationships, bereavement or something else—and identifying what you need, so that our work can feel meaningful, relevant, and tailored to you. Sessions move at the pace you need, not rushed or pushed, and I place you and your feelings at the heart of everything we explore
Practice description
I am a qualified integratively trained counsellor, drawing on psychodynamic, person‑centred, and transactional analysis approaches. I work with adults aged 18 and over, offering both open‑ended and short‑term individual therapy. All sessions are currently offered online, via a secure video platform, which allows you to attend from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
My practice is flexible and accessible, with sessions available on weekdays and weekends, including daytime and evening slots. If you would like to know more or check availability, please feel free to get in touch by email or through the contact form on my profile. I aim to respond promptly and will work with you to find a time that fits your life and schedule
My first session
Our first session is 50 minutes long and charged at the same rate as regular sessions. Before we begin, I also offer a free 15‑minute introductory phone call so you can ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide if we might be a good fit.
During our first session, we will:
Get to know each other and build a comfortable, respectful connection.
Explore what has brought you to therapy now and what feels most important to you.
Talk through your goals or hopes for therapy, and what you would like to get from our work together.
Briefly go over how we’ll work together, including confidentiality, boundaries, and what to expect from our sessions.
Discuss any practical details such as scheduling, cancellations, and payment.
We’ll also briefly go through how we’ll work together, including confidentiality and what to expect, so everything feels clear and agreed before we continue. The focus is on you feeling informed, comfortable, and ready to begin
