About me and my therapy practice
I understand what it takes to start a therapy journey, and I endeavour to support that process sensitively and with purpose. Creating a safe place that feels comfortable enough to explore and process in is always my aim as a therapist. I am here to meet you where you are, and move alongside you to better wellness
To get the most out of therapy, I believe having a good and safe connection with your therapist is vital. This is an important part of how we will work and what we can achieve together. I am here to listen and work through your challenges whilst supporting you to understand your needs and how to meet them.
Practice description
Your needs and goals are what we will work on together, whilst investigating and learning along the way. The pace is set by you, and how we work can be flexible to how you are feeling on the day. No pressure, just kindness, support, and a space to explore. Feeling safe enough to communicate your challenges is key. This is what I offer, alongside my extensive experience of practice in working with complex issues and distress.
I am a pluralistic counsellor, this means I use skills in a person centred approach. Exploring past experiences and how they impact you now, looking at behaviours and thought patterns to resolve challenges. I have experience in working with: Anxiety & Depression, complex relationships, abuse & trauma, grief & loss, self harm & suicidal ideation.
My first session
A head of our first session we will have an informal call so I can understand your needs better and see if you feel I am the right therapist for you.
I will send you an assessment form and contract to be completed before we meet.
