About me and my therapy practice
As a South Asian therapist, I am mindful of how culture, family and identity can shape people’s experiences, while welcoming clients from all backgrounds. My ideal client feels stuck in patterns they can't change despite trying to understand themselves. They may struggle with anxiety, overthinking, low confidence or relationship difficulties. Often they are thoughtful and self-aware but feel overwhelmed by emotions or held back by a strong inner critic. They want a space to feel understood while learning practical ways to manage difficult thoughts and feelings so they can feel calmer, more confident and build healthier relationships
Practice description
I offer integrative counselling combined with CBT techniques. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. Together, we explore patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviours whilst developing practical strategies to build confidence. We can also explore how past experiences may influence how you feel today.
Therapy with me is not just about talking while someone quietly listens.
I work collaboratively with you to explore patterns in your thoughts, feelings and past experiences, while also gently helping you to challenge unhelpful beliefs. My aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply and develop healthier ways of responding to difficulties you may have
My first session
Before our first session, I offer a free 15 minute consultation telephone call to briefly understand what you are expecting from therapy, as well as answer any questions you may have before committing to therapy.
The first therapy session is a chance for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. We will talk about the difficulties you are facing, what you would like to change, and begin identifying patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviours. We will also discuss how therapy can support you and what working together may look like. We will move at a pace that feels right for you.

Practice description
I am a qualified and accredited CBT Therapist and Integrative Counsellor. In the NHS, for example, these specialities are often separated. My aim is to combine both therapy modalities into one because I believe clients should have the space to reflect, but then have the tools to know how to manage better.
