About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and registered MBACP Counselling Psychotherapist with experience working with neurodivergent adults, trauma, addictions, emotional difficulties, chronic stress, and common mental health concerns. I also work with PTSD and complex trauma, and offer inner child–focused therapy.
I am trained in Integrative Therapy, which means I tailor my approach to suit each individual. I work in a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and person-centred way, providing a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space.
I draw on Attachment Theory and Transactional Analysis to help clients understand relationship patterns, early experiences, and how these may impact the present. Where helpful, I also work transpersonally, supporting exploration of identity, meaning, and spirituality in a way that feels right for you.
My aim is to help you develop greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and clarity, supporting you to feel more connected to yourself and others.
Practice description
I offer integrative, trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy for adults, providing a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to explore their experiences at their own pace. The therapeutic relationship is central to my work, with trust, understanding, and emotional safety at the forefront of the therapy we achieve together.
I have 14 years’ experience working within mental health services across a range of health and social care settings, including the prison system, social care, domestic abuse services, and complex mental health environments. This background informs my compassionate, grounded, and inclusive approach.
I work with individuals experiencing neurodiversity, trauma (including PTSD and complex trauma), addictions, emotional distress, chronic stress, and common mental health difficulties. I also support clients with attachment issues, relational patterns, and inner child work.
As an MBACP-registered Counselling Psychotherapist, I work in a person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed way, adapting therapy to suit each individual’s needs. My integrative approach draws on Attachment Theory, Transactional Analysis, and transpersonal therapy, allowing space to explore identity, meaning, and spirituality where this feels appropriate.
My aim is to support deeper self-understanding, self-acceptance, and lasting change within a relationship that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative.
My first session
I offer a free initial 50-minute session to help us get to know each other and explore whether we are a good fit for working together.
During this session, we will discuss what has brought you to counselling, your goals for therapy, and how we can work together to achieve them. It’s a relaxed space where you can share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to talk about anything you're not ready to.
I’ll also explain my approach to therapy, share a little about my experience, and answer any questions you may have. For me, the most important part of therapy is building a trusting, supportive relationship, so I always appreciate the chance to meet and ensure that I’m the right fit for you as you begin your healing journey.
