About me and my therapy practice
People often come to me when they feel stuck or frustrated, especially in their relationships or in patterns they cannot quite make sense of. This can include emotional reactions that feel stronger than expected or difficult to understand. I work psychodynamically, which means we take time to understand what might be going on beneath the surface and how this shapes how you feel and relate to others. I tend to listen carefully and think alongside you, offering something that feels warm and real. If you would prefer to start with a set number of sessions, we can agree that together and review things as we go. I offer sessions both online and in person.
Practice description
Sessions are a space to look more closely at what is going on for you. I will listen carefully and share observations, reflect patterns, and offer interpretations or gentle challenges where it feels helpful. This can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself, including what may be going on for you unconsciously. Sessions take place weekly at a regular time. We can work in an open-ended way, or agree a set number of sessions if you would prefer something shorter term.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute initial call where we can briefly talk through what is bringing you to therapy and see if it feels like a good fit. The first session is a chance for us to explore what has been going on for you, what you would like from therapy, and any questions you may have. We can also decide together whether you would prefer to work in an open-ended way or agree a set number of sessions, depending on what feels right for you.
