Availability

Alongside offering 1:1 online and in-person therapy, I also work with charities, outdoor leaders, retreat providers, and programme facilitators to provide therapeutic support within outdoor and nature-based settings, both in the UK and abroad.

Availability varies throughout the year and depends on programme dates, location, and scope.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a trauma-informed Integrative Therapist (MBACP) and outdoor practitioner, and I support people in moving through life's complexities with a greater sense of clarity and self-understanding.

What I mean by ‘trauma-informed’ is that my practice is grounded in safety, trust, choice and empowerment.

Working with people both inside the therapy room and outdoors among our natural landscapes has been a privilege, and has deepened my appreciation for human connection and nature immersion as two valuable resources for helping people reconnect with themselves, each other, and the lives they'd like to lead.

None of us are immune to adversity, myself included. Meaningful change often begins with feeling safe enough to explore our experiences with curiosity and compassion, rather than pressure or expectation.

Whether or not you identify your experiences as trauma, I’ve come to understand that a trauma-informed approach can benefit everyone.

My experience in outdoor practice has been shaped over several years of supporting adults in individual therapy, as well as through my work a number of UK charities, including Millimetres 2 Mountains. Supporting the design and delivery of outdoor trauma recovery programmes, adaptive expeditions, and community walks in the UK and abroad has deepened my understanding of the role nature connection can play in supporting resilience, self-connection, and recovery.

My role as an outdoor therapeutic facilitator involves supporting the emotional and relational processes within group experiences, helping to create conditions in which participants can feel safe, connected, and able to engage meaningfully.

Depending on the nature of the programme, this may include:

• Group contracting and supporting psychological safety

• Trauma-informed input into programme design and delivery

• 1:1 therapeutic support within group settings

• Grounding exercises and check-ins

• Facilitating group reflection and connection

• Supporting emotional processing and integration

Practice description

My focus is on creating an environment of trust and psychological safety, supporting connection, confidence, and meaningful engagement for participants.

I work relationally, staying attuned to pace and evolving group dynamics, while holding both structure and flexibility as needed.

This may include holding reflective group spaces, supporting participants through moments of overwhelm or vulnerability, or helping facilitators respond thoughtfully to emotional and relational dynamics as they arise.

I aim to bring a grounded and steady presence, complementing the expertise already present within the team and bringing therapeutic insight to support both participants and facilitators.

Practice description

About Outdoor Walk & Talk Therapy in Devon

Outdoor therapy - or Roam Therapy - combines the therapeutic relationship with gentle movement and time in nature.

For some, walking side-by-side can feel more comfortable than sitting opposite each other. Taking our sessions outdoors can help to support emotional regulation and processing.

Outdoor therapy doesn’t have to mean ‘challenge’. We will move at your pace, with location options tailored to your needs and preferences.

My experience in outdoor practice has developed over several years of working with adults both in individual therapy settings, and in my work with the outdoor mental health charity, Millimetres 2 Mountains.

Supporting the design and delivery of outdoor trauma recovery programmes, adaptive expeditions, and community wellbeing walks has deepened my appreciation of just how transformational nature connection can be for building resilience, self-connection and recovery, in ways that feel empowering and accessible.

Roam Therapy sessions last 60 minutes and are usually held weekly. Fortnightly sessions and standalone sessions are also available, depending on individual circumstances.

Accessibility

Access and adaptability are, and always have been, central my practice and experience. Sessions are designed to respond to individual needs, including sensory, mobility, emotional and communication preferences. Please feel welcome to discuss anything that would support you.

I also offer Virtual Therapy (Online or By Phone) and Indoor Therapy (In the room, in East Devon).

A space to meet - online or by phone

Many people find it easier to open up and engage in therapy when connecting from familiar surroundings, particularly when travel, location, health, caring responsibilities, or busy schedules create barriers to meeting in person.

Virtual therapeutic spaces in my practice carry the same level of care around collaboration, depth, and responsiveness to your needs as in face-to-face settings. Understanding how you experience your world and working to explore what may be feeling out of alignment for you is my priority.

I am a certified provider of online and phone therapy (OPT).
