About me and my therapy practice

My name is Rosie, and I am a Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP).

You might be seeking therapy because you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself or others, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating. What matters most to me is hearing and understanding how you experience and relate to the world around you.

At times, our intuition can feel clouded. I offer a safe and supportive space to help you reconnect with your internal compass, so that we can make sense of what is happening for you with greater clarity and self-compassion.

Working with adults whose lives have been altered by acute and chronic trauma has shaped my practice. My experiences have shown me that who we are is not simply determined by what has happened to us. We continue to evolve through our relationships and the stories we hold about ourselves.

As an Integrative Practitioner, our sessions will be personalised to you. I work relationally, rooted primarily in Humanistic theory with influence from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic practice, Transactional Analysis (TA) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I will work alongside you, not above you, at a pace that feels manageable while exploring deeper reflection. You don't need to have everything worked out before starting therapy, we can begin wherever you are.

Professional Membership: Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

Qualifications and CPD: BACP and NCPS Accredited Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, Iron Mill College; Certificate of Online and Phone Therapy (OPT), The Online Institute; Certificate in Counselling, The Iron Mill; The Internet, Suicide and Self-harm Training for Practitioners CPD, Samaritans Online Excellence Programme; Autism Beyond the Basics CPD, Pegasus Wellbeing Centre; Emergency Outdoor First Aid Qualification; First Aid Education Ltd.

Professional Experience: Millimetres 2 Mountains Foundation, Young Devon, Pegasus Men's Wellbeing Centre

Practice description

I hold sessions remotely (online and by phone) and in person (indoors and outdoors) to accommodate individual preferences. If you are unsure of what suits you best, we can explore this together.

Session Structure

I offer one-off sessions, short-term courses across consecutive weeks, and longer-term therapy over several months. Sessions last 50 minutes (a therapeutic hour) and are held regularly to provide consistency. We can work with a structured ongoing schedule, or a rolling weekly or fortnightly schedule if a more flexible approach suits you.

Accessibility

My indoor therapy room is currently not fully wheelchair accessible. Please let me know if you have any access, mobility, or sensory needs, and we can work together to find the most suitable option.

In Person - Indoors

My indoor sessions are held in a peaceful, well-equipped space attached to a barn conversion, a 20 minute drive east of Exeter and 10 minutes from the M5 Exeter Services. Overlooking the East Devon landscape, the quiet rural surroundings and warm interiors create a container to allow your inner world to breathe.

In Person - Outdoors

I offer outdoor therapy sessions in and around East Devon, where we can stroll or sit among nature. Through my work hosting and supporting outdoor retreats, community walks, and global climbs for adults impacted by trauma, I have witnessed the transformative effects that attuning to our natural surroundings can have on our healing. These sessions are adaptable to suit individual needs, and are available following two or more initial indoor or online sessions.

Remote - Online Video or Phone Call

My remote practice offers bespoke therapeutic conversation without the barriers of time constraints or travel. These can be held via Google Meet or phone call. I am a certified Online and Phone Therapy Practitioner.

Group Work

Alongside 1:1 therapy, I also co-facilitate groups in collaboration with outdoor and wellness-focused organisations and practitioners.

My first session

Our first session is charged at a concessional rate of £35.00.

This will be an opportunity for us both to decide whether I am the right person to support you further. We will focus on your current concerns, your motivations for seeking counselling, your hopes and needs. You may not come with a clear picture in mind, and that is okay.

This session will take place at your choice of venue – either online, by phone or in person, at my East Devon practice room.

Should you have any initial questions, I would be happy to hear from you by phone or by email.
