About me and my therapy practice
My name is Rosie. I am a Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP) and Outdoor Therapist.
What matters most to me about our work together is hearing and understanding how you relate to the world. At times, our intuition can feel clouded or out of reach. I offer a safe and confidential space to explore parts of yourself that may feel in conflict, supporting you to reconnect with your internal compass and navigate life’s adversities with greater clarity and compassion.
Alongside private practice, my outdoor work facilitating mental health walks, mountain climbs and wellbeing retreats for adults affected by trauma continues to show the transformative effects that tuning into our natural surroundings can have on the healing process.
Taking our sessions outdoors allows us to gently challenge our comfort zones, connect with the body, and subtly explore new perspectives as we build trust in our own capabilities.
As an Integrative Practitioner, my training enables me to personalise our work to your needs. I draw on a variety of approaches which are rooted primarily in Humanistic theory and influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic practice, Transactional Analysis (TA) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
You don't need to have everything worked out before beginning therapy. We can meet wherever you are.

Practice description
Individual outdoor sessions are primarily held in East Devon and the surrounding areas, where we can walk or sit in nature.
Our focus is on finding presence in the elements, rather than on physical exertion or distance. I will be guided by a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Routes and meeting points are chosen collaboratively. I can make suggestions, including wheelchair accessible options.
Session Structure
Outdoor therapy sessions last 50 minutes (a therapeutic hour) and can be booked as a one-off session, on a rolling basis, or as a short-term block taking place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your preference.
Indoor or online sessions can be arranged as a contingency during extreme weather.
Accessibility
Sessions held outdoors are designed to accommodate you as an individual. Please let me know if you have any specific access, mobility, or sensory needs, and we can work together to find the most suitable option for you.
Group Work
Alongside 1:1 outdoor therapy, I also offer co-facilitation for groups in collaboration with wellness-focused outdoor organisations and practitioners.
My first session
I am always happy to hear from you over email or a short phone call if you would like to discuss options before committing.
If you decide to go ahead with meeting outdoors, our first two sessions will be held indoors. You can choose whether these take place in person, at my East Devon practice room or over video call.
Our first session will last the standard duration (50 minutes) and is charged at a concessional rate of £35.00.
Our aim will be to give you a sense of how our work together can look, and to help us both consider if I am the right person to support you further.
This session will focus on your current concerns, your motivations for seeking counselling, and your hopes and needs. We will explore what feels most important to you, and how you would like to move forward.

About me and my therapy practice
My name is Rosie, and I am a Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP).
You might be seeking therapy because you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself or others, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating. What matters most to me is hearing and understanding how you experience and relate to the world around you.
At times, our intuition can feel clouded. I offer a safe and supportive space to help you reconnect with your internal compass, so that we can make sense of what is happening for you with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Working with adults whose lives have been altered by acute and chronic trauma has shaped my practice. My experiences have shown me that who we are is not simply determined by what has happened to us. We continue to evolve through our relationships and the stories we hold about ourselves.
As an Integrative Practitioner, our sessions will be personalised to you. I work relationally, rooted primarily in Humanistic theory with influence from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic practice, Transactional Analysis (TA) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I will work alongside you, not above you, at a pace that feels manageable while exploring deeper reflection. You don't need to have everything worked out before starting therapy, we can begin wherever you are.

Practice description
I hold sessions remotely (online and by phone) and in person (indoors and outdoors) to accommodate individual preferences. If you are unsure of what suits you best, we can explore this together.
Session Structure
I offer one-off sessions, short-term courses across consecutive weeks, and longer-term therapy over several months. Sessions last 50 minutes (a therapeutic hour) and are held regularly to provide consistency. We can work with a structured ongoing schedule, or a rolling weekly or fortnightly schedule if a more flexible approach suits you.
Accessibility
My indoor therapy room is currently not fully wheelchair accessible. Please let me know if you have any access, mobility, or sensory needs, and we can work together to find the most suitable option.
In Person - Indoors
My indoor sessions are held in a peaceful, well-equipped space attached to a barn conversion, a 20 minute drive east of Exeter and 10 minutes from the M5 Exeter Services. Overlooking the East Devon landscape, the quiet rural surroundings and warm interiors create a container to allow your inner world to breathe.
In Person - Outdoors
I offer outdoor therapy sessions in and around East Devon, where we can stroll or sit among nature. Through my work hosting and supporting outdoor retreats, community walks, and global climbs for adults impacted by trauma, I have witnessed the transformative effects that attuning to our natural surroundings can have on our healing. These sessions are adaptable to suit individual needs, and are available following two or more initial indoor or online sessions.
Remote - Online Video or Phone Call
My remote practice offers bespoke therapeutic conversation without the barriers of time constraints or travel. These can be held via Google Meet or phone call. I am a certified Online and Phone Therapy Practitioner.
Group Work
Alongside 1:1 therapy, I also co-facilitate groups in collaboration with outdoor and wellness-focused organisations and practitioners.
My first session
Our first session is charged at a concessional rate of £35.00.
This will be an opportunity for us both to decide whether I am the right person to support you further. We will focus on your current concerns, your motivations for seeking counselling, your hopes and needs. You may not come with a clear picture in mind, and that is okay.
This session will take place at your choice of venue – either online, by phone or in person, at my East Devon practice room.
Should you have any initial questions, I would be happy to hear from you by phone or by email.
